Michael J Nelson, but as Torgo -- all the time, totally lost in method acting.

It will be Joel as Joel Robinson. But instead of Joel playing himself, it'll be a CGI Joel Robinson to be digitally inserted into its scenes. And instead of Joel directly providing his voice, they'll use samples of his voice from the Joel era episodes, like they did for those DVD menus. It may be costly and time intensive, but that's Joel's artistic vision and we'll have to live with it. Or is it just how shows are made now and we should get used to it? I keep mixing those two up.
Oh, correction. I'm being told its cgi Joel in the theater, but during host segments its a puppet Joel that will be independently controlled by a team of 6 professional puppeteers at great expense.

I hope this thread keeps going for the funs of it even though this, obviously, is the correct and true answer.

The Amazing Colossal Man. They will lure him there with truckloads of bread loaves, and will have to build an outdoor Drive-In type theater set.

Just wanted to chime in and say how much I love this very obviously absolutely correct and definitely 100% not made up answer. I'm thinking about emailing Joel a suggestion that in homage to the poorly dubbed/synced movies they've riffed on over the years once all of this is done they should get someone who sounds as different from him as possible redub all of his lines in changing accents and desync the audio.

Joe Estevez.. Hi folks, you may be wondering if I'm Martin Sheen. Well, I'm not. Turns out I'm his vastly more talented, yet less appreciated brother. Thank you.

Wavy Rancheros from Craig Ferguson's run on the Late Late Show (Sid the Cussing Bunny was rejected for obvious reasons).
