Assuming (but it’s by no means certain) the Kickstarter raises enough for 12 episodes and 12 shorts, we would essentially be getting bi-weekly content on the GizmoPlex. That’s again assuming that shorts are standing on their own and not being paired with episodes.
I’ve been enjoying the watch alongs with current and classic cast. One of those a month could be a fun feature that hopefully wouldn’t get stale.
Similarly, they could have a monthly game night, like they’re doing Monday, which would essentially put them at an event a week.
Any other ideas? M. Waverly answering fan emails?

The Mads could use a real home and the money. And it's a natural fit. But that the current state of things seemingly between them and Joel I don't see it happening.

I could see them wanting to do their own premiers on YouTube to keep that initial income, but it would be cool if the GizmoPlex became a permanent streaming home for their back catalogue.

I mean, that would certainly serve as one hell of an olive branch. Particularly after the whole “original Crow” debacle in yesterday‘s update......even if that was a gaff, it’s surely going to sour things further between Joel and Trace.

The Cinematic Titanic shows would be nice. Are they streaming anywhere now?

They’re streaming on demand on Tubi, and they pop up on the MST3K Twitch fairly regularly.
Since Shout has the rights to those and The Film Crew, it would definitely make sense to have those in the mix.
It could be fun to have Joel, Josh and Mary Jo do watch alongs with Cinematic Titanic stuff, maybe add in Grant Baciocco and Dave Gruber Allen, since they were involved as well.

The Live Shows is an obvious answer. If they acquire the rights for streaming, that is.

From the Den of Geeks interview; "Joel: Well, the idea of the Gizmoplex is a premiere theater. The Mads have built a Cineplex on the moon, and they’re prepping the make it a tourist attraction and screening movies there. And on the practical level, the way you access it is you can watch it on a lot of your different devices and on smart TVs and stuff like that. And there’s also a few features, like you can watch it with friends and chat. If you happen to buy episodes or bought episodes through the last Kickstarter, you can watch those there, too, kind of like your own locker or library with your shows in it."
From Update #2; "4. What if I can't be online for a live event? Can I still see it?
Oh yeah, of course. After each new episode has its "live premiere," both the episode and a recording of the full live premiere event will be available to watch "on demand" in The Gizmoplex until the next premiere event."
Don't know about "other" content, but are we sure that there will even be a back catalog of episodes other than purchased ones?

They do say "Each month, you'll get on-demand access to a new selection of episodes"
So there will be some available.

A huge Gizmoplex update just went out, but of interest to this thread Ivan does mention: "we're also in talks to offer content from RiffTrax, Cinematic Titanic, Film Crew and more."

Quickly skimming through the update, I can't help but get the feeling that the Gizmoplex is just another streaming service but with a really fancy menu. They're really hyping it up as a "virtual theatre", but I don't get what makes it that special. Maybe I just need to read it more closely, but I'm not seeing it. I also briefly saw that there are potential plans for MST3K themed games on the service. If that ever becomes a reality, maybe they could that fan made Manos game on there.

It feels less "fan bait-y" and more "We're probably going to partner with Shout! and Shout! already has streaming agreements with RiffTrax and streams CT, and the Film Crew movies".

They shouldn't bring it up until the deal is finalized. Otherwise it's like they're just telling people what they want to hear in order to entice them to donate more money.

He's envisioning some sort of total VR world. What he seems to be thinking of will not become reality. The general ideas seem good but the whole immersive VR aspect reminds me of old video game marketing of Full Motion Video where they promise an amazing immersive experience but the video size is tiny and quality is low.
