I would say that kracker is on the current MST3K staff, the way he is so utterly protective of them, but then if he was, he would actually know that they're spending all the money and there will inevitably be requests for more money whenever it's time to start talking about season 14.
I would say you are saying that because you guys are on the current Rifftrax staff, the way you guys are so utterly offended by the idea of the Gizmoplex getting subscribers and siphoning money from your fanbase lol (nice try but i see you)
Btw only BoB3K would imagine they are blowing KS money on things like an anti-hater online task force

Update #39, 9/24/21 Highlights:
-Episode writing completed, only a few host segments, editing, and revisions remain to be finished -Storyboard for new opening sequence being worked on, updated theme song to be performed by hosts and cast -Bot building for season 13 completed -Production begins October 11th -First virtual set visit took place 9/24
this week's update dropped. Still no mention of the Gizmoplex. Instead there's Turkey Day Marathon talk so guessing that Dec/Jan launch window is what we should indeed expect, either a holiday launch with the new episode or early Jan launch with the holiday episode being an extra episode for Dec of that year. They're teasing Season 13 'major' details for the Turkey Day marathon so they maybe saving all the Gizmoplex news including the official launch date for Turkey Day.
also don't know if this is a mistake but the update says two weeks until they start shooting even though the last update it was 'just over two weeks!'
Interestingly enough, in the newest update they shared that filming for the touring cast's episodes start filming next week, starting with their movie segments. And from the set up in the pictures they provide and how they described it, it APPEARS as though they're going to be riffing live, the old fashioned way. As nature intended.
Which is not how they described it being done in Kickstarter for this season. Perhaps they're doing it the old-fashioned way for the more accessible and easy to schedule touring cast, and the other way for the Netflix cast.

I'm looking at those pictures of the theater riffing setup, and I have questions. If this really is how they are filming the silhouettes, and it is specified that the cast will be in chairs, facing the greenscreen, then I hope that those aren't the actual chairs they are using. First, Emily would have to sit up higher than Nate and Conor for the silhouettes to be reasonably level. Second, I really, really hope there are stands for Servo and Crow, because holding them up for all the theater segments would be punishing. I'd say that of course they have to be using better chairs for the cast to sit in for so many hours, but...I've learned better.
Can't remember that whole argument but I assumed ya'll misunderstood what they were saying because it makes sense to have them together for riffing, or whatever is actually best for the show. Doing each silhouette piece separate, or however you imagined it would be more problematic than just having them all there for a week or so. According the update, they'll have all the riffing segments shot in just several days. They way they put it, they make it sound like they are spending most of the time shooting all the extra stuff (Turkey Day, Gizmoplex bits, KS reward stuff, etc)
also im pretty sure they are going to do whatever is most comfortable for the actor. they do say they are "LOADING IN" and they've only started the process of setting up and figuring out where everything will go, meaning what you see isn't the finished setup.
They also say they will have all the Emily episodes shot before the tour kicks off at the end of October.
