The polls to vote on what you want to see on Turkey Day: I was outvoted on every single one. My tastes are quite different than most Msties. I kind of loathe Prince of Space lol

I thought I liked Prince of Space a lot until I watched it more recently and the riffs were almost non-stop japanese culture put-downs. And I don't mean that I didn't like them cuz I was offended, just that it's lazy and gets repetitive.
Although, "I like it very much." will always be a classic, and almost makes it worth watching for that.

Even the "worst" episode of MST3k has a few golden moments. That's why it's the best. I overall don't care for 815-904, as I feel it's the laziest, most phoned in era of the show. But, I also know I'm in the extreme minority, too.

But, I also know I'm in the extreme minority, too. i think the "phoned-in" feeling even carries through the rest of the Sci-Fi era. there's definitely some highlights that i would pick out from the stretch you're not fond of, and even past that, but as a whole there's such a different tone to those last 3 seasons that i get put off by a lot of those episodes. it does set in around 815 and never really lets up. in terms of those shows' popularity, they really did reach a new audience on Sci-Fi, no? from my experiences online it feels like the loudest fans tend to be Joel-heads from way back that think the show peaked at seasons 3-4 and Mike fans who can speak of Space Mutiny or The Final Sacrifice like they're the pinnacle of comedy. i prefer seasons 2 & 5-7 over everything else, which has to be a very small minority of fans.

The golden age of 2-5 is hard to beat, but I like most of Season 8 and 9. 8 has quite a few fun classic scifi black and white movies that are just so easy to riff on that they breeze through them. 9 is more hit and miss, but the hits are all very good. Projected Man, Puma Man, Werewolf, Deadly Bees, Devil Fish, Screaming Skull are all very fun and funny imo.
It could just be the movie selection though. Space Mutiny, Overdrawn and the Memory Bank, Agent for H.A.R.M., Riding with Death, The Clonus Horror. Those are all great Class A cheesy movies.
