Noo! Singer Meat Loaf died today. (Edit: I think he died on the 20th, actually). He was 74. Edit: In an earlier post, I saw that cause of death was not revealed, in another post where people who knew him were sharing Tweets, it said he died of COVID, so I don't know for sure.

I read that he did, indeed, die from COVID. A few members of his family had it. Meat Loaf was getting frustrated with all the COVID restrictions and said people were becoming like Nazis about it and said, "If I die, I die."
Well, guess what.
I think the only ones politicizing COVID are the ones who DON'T want to take the precautions. The virus doesn't care if you are "over it already". Nature doesn't care if you are inconvenienced or if you are "sick and tired" of it. It works the way it works and we have to adjust our lives accordingly or else -- we die.
It's a shame so many have to die or get sick to see this.
I liked him, he had a great voice back in his day and his partnership with Jim Steinman was a perfect match of singer and songs. "Bat Out of Hell" was one of the best albums ever, in my opinion.

My sympathies to Meatloaf's family.
He's another person who believes that simple medical precautions were tyranny and died for it. Wearing a seatbelt, tyranny. Wearing a motorcycle helmet, tyranny. Eat right and exercise, tyranny. Take your blood pressure medication, tyranny. Another adult stamping his feet and crying "But I don't wanna." Fox News headlines complain that the left mocked him for his beliefs. Most of the so called mocking is people pointing out that he repeated said he'd rather die than take common sense precautions and got his wish.
I have sympathy for his family. I have much less sympathy for someone who mocks his doctors advice and more or less decides to more or less to kill himself.
At his peak he was a great singer. He will be missed for that.

I only liked one of his songs (Two Outta Three Ain't Bad), but still sad regardless of his choices.
