So far it does seem like only one title, but the Kickstarter does say "And more" so perhaps there's another events coming.

With Munchie on the way from MST, it seems like Jim Wynorski is getting a good ribbing this year.
I would have preferred the Wes Craven film since it's more stoic, but I like Return. I think it's goofy fun.

glad it met it's goal already.. not much excitement for it in the fan forums.... I am so pumped about them doing this movie.

I have a soft spot for RETURN OF SWAMP THING, it's one of my most cherished films from my childhood, but it *is* a Jim Wynorski flick so it should be good fun for the RiffTrax guys.

glad it met it's goal already.. not much excitement for it in the fan forums.... I'm a little surprised how much enthusiasm there is for any of the RT KSs. You don't actually get the product, you are paying them to make it, and then you have to pay to go watch it. I actually backed the first two, but I backed at VIP for Starship Troopers and Son of VIP for Godzilla and so got guaranteed front row seats in Nashville (and got to meet MK&B too, of course). Haven't backed any since.

I don't go to theaters. But I back the RiffTrax Kickstarters to get the VOD downloads of the live shows. So I think that yes, indeed, I do get the product I am paying them to make. When they do the large mainstream film riffs, like the two you saw, then no, they can't give backers VODs because of the distribution rights being a far different and way more expensive than the theater exhibition rights, but in all but one case they have given their backers the Just-the-Jokes .mp3s. (It's my understanding that they thought they would be able to provide a Five Doctors .mp3 as well, but that the BBC had a different idea and so far has not given them permission to do so.)
I also think that once the bonuses are thrown in with their stretch goals, the level at which I back provides good value for my investment. I usually end up receiving digital content that is worth almost as much as my pledge. In 2020, that added up to $79.29 in exchange for my $85 all digital pledge.
I'm not giving you a hard time for your opinion, but telling you why I'm a RiffTrax Kickstarter backer, and why I'm pretty enthusiastic about it.

I'm still salty that there was never a Five Doctors MP3. BBC can kiss my backside.

The shorts stretch goals have been announced. Get up to 10 digital shorts for as low as $1, or $1 in digital credit for each one you own.

And just to take a little credit for myself, the other day I asked on the Kickstarter if there was any chance of getting a Swamp Thing pin as a reward. Erik Peterson of Rifftrax responded saying he would look into it, while the Rifftrax account responded saying probably not.
Today on Patreon they posted a poll letting fans vote on a design for the pin reward.

I remember discovering the novelization - written by comics pro Peter David, who I think was the writer on DC's Swampy title at some point - as a 10-year old who had no idea that the movie was coming. I ended up being deeply annoyed when the theatrical run bypassed Western New York, but watched it numerous times on cable over the years. This is going to be delightful.

The dollar-based goals are up:
$395,000: “Old” just the jokes riff
$420,000: Blu Ray option for Return of Swamp Thing
$450,000: An educational short by Bridget and Mary Jo
$480,000: Dune (2021) just the jokes riff.
They also posted a poll for another Just the Jokes reward on Patreon. I assume that will be in the second round of backer-based rewards.

I'm all for a riff of Old. That was one of the most doofus movies of the last few years.
A Dune riff I'm less inclined to think could work. That movie is pretty to look at, but a long road to nowheresville.
