The very brief ads as commercial bumpers really work for me.

"We" funded the show, but we still aren't entitled to the private business of touring voice personnel we barely know as people.
If you guys want to dish dirt, there's still a general thread to do that. It's just not the live reaction thread.

I am getting an uncomfortable vibe about the Kelsey/Nate situation. Someone pointed out on the Discourse forum that probably there have been NDAs involved. I understand that it's not the fans' business to know about internal personnel decisions. But someone who was an enthusiastic member of a highly-touted and hyped MST3K cast, who posted so much about his involvement and work and seemed to all appearances to enjoy his job has been memory holed with only the briefest official mention of his being gone after much discussion from backers. I don't blame people for asking questions. I only hope that it was a mutual, cordial decision. I wonder at this point if it was just overdubbing or if the host segments were reshot? If it's just dubbed, it feels not wrong exactly but not quite right either to pretend that Kelsey was puppeteering Crow in the host segments filmed last October. I guess we won't know for sure until the episode is released with the credits. Your discomfort is warranted. They did re-dub Nate's parts. While this is all largely a private matter, at the same time, "we" are the producers of the show, and the fact that several scenes needed to be dubbed means that was an added expense. I can tell you there were some other departures behind the scenes, but if you dare to even lightly question anything on the official forums, people jump all over you. Well now I'm intrigued. ...I can't believe I'm lurking on a thread about a puppet show and am talking about puppeteer drama while at a fancy restaurant, lol,

The bubble voice was the first Kelsey joke i laughed at and Emily immediately put a ban on that I think her riffing is pretty solid. The voice is the only thing I find to be an adjustment, but I'm getting used to it. This is a very funny theater episode, and the host segments are working for me. I gotta tap out soon for Joe Bob, though.

Not since Being John Malkovich have I seen this amount of puppeteer drama.
It would at least explain why the replacement voice feels so out of place. This was a bad move imho.

I honestly could not care less about puppeteer drama with people I have next to no experience with onscreen or knowledge of.
Guest Star Jonah!

Kelsey sounds like a voice actor from Rugrats. I think it's a bit closer to Milhouse from The Simpsons.. but chucky and milhouse sound a bit similar. Fun fact the lady who does Chucky from Rugrats does Bart's voice on The Simpsons.

I want to see.

Fun fact the lady who does Chucky from Rugrats does Bart's voice on The Simpsons. Nancy Cartwright actually only did Chucky for the last couple of years of the show because the original actor had to leave. She also does the voice of Milhouse of course

I really like Kelsey as Crow and love how twisted the game show segment was. Finally Crow gets to decide who lives and who dies.
