Wow.. you thought the fan riff was that good?? I watched that when it was released.. it was definitely not that for me.. I was amused since it was a fan riff of a charming movie.. but that was about as far as it went. Kind of amazed you liked it that much. humor truly is subjective but man those folks aren't that funny. I'm loath to say this because the person who created it is right here, staring at us... but yeah, I wasn't all that impressed either. I think with a lot of fanvids, they stumble with delivery and timing - I mean, there were shared riffs where I laughed at the MST version ("I'm coming Elizabeth", for one), but not the fanvid. Another example of this is Josh Way - I know people dig him, I know he's written for Rifftrax, but his own fanvids just don't cut it for me, and part of that is line delivery. I'll give them their due for their enthusiasm and the effort, these being labors of love, but I can't lie and say I laughed a lot. For me, whether it was the pros or the amateurs, it was a swing and (mostly) a miss on Jiger.

We've no shortage of enthusiasm, but our first two are super rough going on all fronts. The benefit of an interim 3 years ( hopefully) has given us the chance to greatly improve on a lot of that. I get it & seriously just appreciate anyone taking the time to even give us a look.

MST3K has always been a big family and most of you on this discussion board know I have been critical of the show since season 11, but also know I have been bashing this season hard. Gamera Versus Jiger is the first classic episode of this season. Jonah has finally come of age and the episode was brilliant with on-the-spot riffs, and great timing. It wasn't perfect by any means, but it was the first episode of this season to be seen as a true MST3K episode. I loved everything about this episode and the ending skit was excellent. Finally congratulations on making an actual MST3K episode. The secret is riff older films. what non-mike episodes are actually Mystery Science Theatre 3000 episodes to you? There is so many to count. I will name a few here. Phase IV SST: Death Flight Superdome City on Fire The Crawling Hand The Sidehackers Catalina Caper Loads of others but I digress. Mitchell, Godzilla episodes, so many.

I missed understand the question the first time because I was scanning other sites. MST3K episodes are anything Joel before season 13, Mike of course, and not many from season 11 to 13, but here are the episodes that popped to me as MST3K worthy episodes. "Avalanche, Star Crash, The Day Time Ended, Ator: The Fighting Eagle, Santo in the Treasure of Dracula, Gamera vs. Jiger.
