It's kind of a hard question to answer, but here goes:
- Jokes that point out obvious movie flaws - Mocking the wierd sounds and/or hard-to-understand dialogue - "I thought you were Dale!"

A lot of the time, the jokes that I find the funniest are the jokes that are almost unrelated to the movie entirely. You know, the ones where they say something that, in context, would mean that the movie was currently not the movie you were....watching....
Man, this is hard to explain....

The funniest moments are when the movie makes them flinch. You know, it catches them offguard with something really strange.
The Hitler Building for example.

I've always been amused by the high pitched female voices they try to imitate.
"Every time I meet a man, he's either gay or a bear." ;D

That'll help explain it.

Observational humor: For example in Final Sacrifice, Troy unfolds some paper and one of the guys riff... "It says, do not wrinkle"
or the drowsey kid in Santa Claus... "Why did they leave me so heavily medicated" - Servo
or the kid in the "Money Talks" short... "That was my darkest vision yet"
Riffing which takes what's on the screen and adds a little twist; that makes me laugh the hardest.

I enjoy the ones where a riff sets up a future occurence in the movie. I consider them "cheating" but they're still funny. Two examples from Pod People:
"This guy has renaissance festival written all over him." Suddenly the guy pulls out a crossbow.
"Bambi, humans are mostly good." Movie cuts to a man with a rifle.

I like some jokes when the characters aren't really doing anything, so Mike/Joel and the bots will fill in their own dialogue. It seems like those kind of movies just got up and left without the audience. For example: In Manos: The Hands of Fate, near the end of the movie they show these two women driving to where that family before drove to. On the way there, I think the two women talk a little bit or not at all, leaving the scenes to be pretty boring. That's where Tom Servo steps in. He goes into his ladies voice and starts the conversation between the girls on the film. Servo kept that up for a good amount of time and the first time I watched that, I was laughing so hard! lol Another time was in The Final Sacrifice. It was when Troy was looking at a map in the forest, but he would look up, Servo would add this "Heeeeh" noise. lol Every time Troy popped his head up, you would hear that noise. I found that really funny. Overall, I enjoy most of the jokes they put out on MST. I remember a really stupid one I laughed at, wasn't really a MST joke. It was on Track of the Moonbeast and when the meteor rock falls down, that girl says "A Moonrock...Oh, wow...!" lol That moment just felt so awkward, it was hilarious.

There is always one joke that is guaranteed to make me crack up. It's at the very beginning of Sidehackers when the movie in in a small diagonal box:
Crow: Uhm ... This is gonna be hard to watch.

My favourites are the bits where the movie can go off at a total tangent, as if its 'switched reels on us.' It doesn't happen often; theres the tennis bit in Zombie Nightmare and the famous 'horny old couple and their lemons' bit from the Incredible Melting Man. I also like it when the editing is so screwed up it looks like characters are in a completely different dimension. The obvious one is the weird insert shots of Abby in the 2nd ep of Riding with Death, where the fim suddenly goes so quiet all you can hear are Mike and the Bots trying to figure out whats going on. "Mike, did the ozone layer finally give out, whats going on..." Theres a similar bit in Girl in Gold Boots where Leo seems to be in a completely different room to everyone else during the party scene ("Come to my dimension! Its fun over here!") but my fav is in the Screaming Skull. The couple are having a normal chat in the bedroom and suddenly there are very very bright close ups of them both looking very sweaty and with nothing behind them. Mike raises his hands and rocks from side to side going "Ahhhhhhhhhhh!" and Servo goes into a fit of giggles.

I'll retract my vague statement earlier. I was tired when I wrote that.
I like the riffs that kind of imply the "what if" scenarios. Like in Diabolik when the movie's namesake is scaling the wall of the tower and Crow says, "Scraping sounds reverberate throughout the castle." Or like in Mitchell when Mitchell is sneaking around outside the house and someone (can't remember who) says, "Uh, Mitchell, would you like to come in?"
I also like the ones that just point out how ridiculous a character is being in context. In Rocketship X-M, there's a riff near the end that makes me burst into hysterics every time despite the fact that this isn't a favorite episode of mine.
Man: No, the mission was not a failure,.... Joel(?): But a *resounding* success!
Okay, that should be a little less vague than my earlier ramblings.

Oh ok, now I understand. I like the cynical riffing the most. Take Invasion of the Neptune Men for example. Then I like the riffs on traits of characters, Zap Rowsdower. Then I like the very clever riffing, a good example would be Earth vs. The Spider. I like all riffing actually, but I think the bitter, cynical riffing is my favorite. I agree with you 100%, and that pretty much explains why I like the Season 7 eps and up. They are so mean and pissed off at the movie!

"Duh-duh, duh-duh-duh-duh! EAT IT MOVIE!" Ahh yes, Invasion of the Neptune Men: The most under-rated episode of season 8. I watched it again recently (probably 35 times now LOL) and i'll say that i'm NOT sick of it like I said before. Yeah, the sudden outbursts make me laugh too.

I like in Overdrawn at the Memory Bank when the white snow stuff was falling on the ground and Mike said: "This is how much coccain you'd have to take to fully enjoy this movie." LOL! That's one of my favorite riffs.
