So you didn't like that flick? I thought it was a HIGHLY ENTERTAINING movie. I saw it in the theater, and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. For a little shut eye, I just watch a little Red Zone Cuba..... ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!

I'd imagine that would work, but reading a book seems to help alot more for me.

Any black and white movie will do it for me. I couldn't watch Dr. Strangelove because I fell asleep after the first half hour...and this was at ten in the morning, after just waking up.

We've steered away from an important point... That is Irvin700 really hated the movie "Armageddon". I thought it was a great movie. One of my favorites from the 90's actually. I've heard many people didn't like it. Can anyone explain why?

I don't know, I don't hate the movie, it's just that it's one of your basic let's save the world films. The acting is on par, the effects were good, it's just a basic film. I've watched it several times and it's not horrible but, it's not a classic either.
Just my thoughts, Servo

And it could never be considered a classic. It isn't meant to be an intellectual movie either. Kind of an escape from reality, action-packed adventure. And maybe a bit of a chick flick ?? I forgot how male dominated this board is .....

Some of the GREATEST films made were Black & White!! AS for Strangelove, that film gets funnier each time you watch it. A CLASSIC!! "Hey, you can't fight in here, this is the War Room!"

You horrible evil. . .Dr. Strangelove was directed by Stanley Kubrick. One of the many reasons to watch it all the way.
