After watching this movie I had to take an extra dose of Effexor, but after that I was wondering...
Whose the guy in the bowler hat at the end of the movie (Not Jim Mallon, playing him in the skits, but the actualy guy).
Anyone familiar with the movie, unmsted. I'm just wondering why he pops up out of nowhere with this -totally out of place- happy theme music?
It makes for a nice laugh at least. As Torgo proved, odd folks with their own theme music are very funny.

Even I, the almost all knowing Phantom Engineer don't know. Maybe we need a Brit to explain that.

I'm not British, but I know the answer. Remember at the very beginning the two gov't guys get that telegram or letter from Mr. Bentley saying You better believe me about my killer bees or I'll unleash (or, unhive) them on innocent people? It's right before we're thrown violently into the Birds song. They mention something about having to go investigate it or something. So in the time it takes for the rest of the action of the film to take place which has to be at least a week, gov't guy from the beginning FINALLY shows up to take a look at this bee gentleman. I think it's a British understated joke on their beaurocracy that doesn't transfer well to American humor. A little too understated.

You know, now that you've explained that I think you may very well have a point. A lot of British comics that I've seen spend time making fun of their own beaureaucratic (I REFUSE to spell check it) systems. Like Douglas Adams' Vogons.

Okay, that makes sense. We saw that guy for what, a minute at the beginning of the movie, then he slips in for a few seconds at the end. M&TB reaction to that guy gave me some of the biggest laughs from the episode (That and the dogs meat riffs). Thanks, I can now sleep at night.

Maybe M&TB's missed him at the start also and didn't know why he was there.

I think if we knew the answer it would ruin the joke. It's so funny only because it made no sense.

Yes, she's married. But I think I heard that she went on a date with a certain Mr. Murphy not too long ago....
