Heyah, Has anyone else tried the Digital Archive Project DVD's, and if so, how has your experience been? Right now, I'm currently downloading Santa Claus vs. The Martians, and I can't wait until it's finished so I can burn that beauty and watch her on my Apex TV --LordKaT

I have downloaded them all, and they are great! in fact, I don't think a better fan copy exists of any of the DAP-DVD episodes (321-Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, 501-Warriors of the Lost World, 821 - Time Chasers, and 1013-Diabolik.
The only hitch is that they don't play on Pioneer DVD players. They play well on most other standalone players and computer drives.
They take forever to download, but they are easy to master onto DVD (with DVD Decrypter).
Recommended (but use broadband to save your sanity).

I haven't tried their DVD downloads, but I have made my own DVDs from their MPEG-2 downloads. I know it suffers in quality, but it enabled me to make my own "Favorite Shorts" DVD. I bring it to parties. It's a nice way to convert non-believers to the cause of the S.O.L.

BTW, does anyone know of any software that can convert mpeg files to work on VCD format, so I can play them on a DVD player? I don't have a DVD burner.

For the DAP DVD? You need to visit dapcentral.com and read their FAQ. They use eDonkey, a kazaa-like program, in order to save bandwidth. Remeber tor ead the FAq carefully, or else you may get banned from the server.
