They did “rock the boat” in the past though, didn't they. Tora! Tora! Tora! Yes, I believe that they rocked several boats that day, if that’s what you’re referring to.

Cherokke, could you give me a link to the actual article? That’s some messed up stuff. It's an AOL article so eat your "off balanced" article with a nice tall glass of "for members only". I would of posted the link, but it wouldn't of worked so I pasted the entire thing. I think they usually do Reuters articles though. Yes I suck and so does AOL. Leave me alone.

Hmmm, what to think?
I am definitely not for shaming people who wanted and tried to do good in an impossible situation and got themselves into a terrifying mess. I can't even imagine what it's like to be taken hostage. And I'm not some social Darwinist who wants to abandon people to their fate, even when their actions are reckless and stupid, even when I'm so mad I could scream! I keep thinking, (of all things) of a passage from the novel Dracula where Mina Harker, who is slowly becoming a vampire, pleads with her husband and the other men to show pity for Dracula and not kill or torture him merely out of revenge. Her husband naturally replies that Dracula deserves no such thing and the happiest moment of his life will be icing the demon bastard. Mina replies:
"Oh, no, my husband, for don't you see, the time may come when I may need such pity, and another like you, with equal cause, may deny it to me."
(I paraphrased the quote a bit, but that's the gist.)
So yeah, get furious at peoples "selfish, reckless" behavior, critizise their actions, throw fits and write letters and march in parades and put people on trial at the Hague, fume at the morons who joined the army at 18 and than complained about being shipped to war (its the ARMY! They fight WARS!) let your blood boil at cultural wrongs and homegrown arrogance and "leaders" who couldn't find their own asses with a map and a flashlight. But don't give up your pity, unless you want to give up your own rights to be wrong and than forgiven.
