Meh. Let the guy have his movies. We'll just trade to get 'em. And then we'll be hear laughing. Laughing from our graves.

Emelio Estevez said he was a fan during the CC days. No news on what he thought of the Sci-Fi roastings on Joe. What about Doogie Howser? I'd love to see his reactions on watching his forgoten uncle on the show.

I originally posted this on the IMDb page for MST3K:
I think it's funny that Sandy Frank is pissed. Does he actually think he produced anything of worth? Hey, I like the Gamera films because how can you not love a big turtle with tusks that flies and spins through the air and befriends little Japanese boys that sound like Rocky the Flying Squirrel, but come on! He packaged crappy foreign films for exploitation overseas. Besides, did Best Brains ever actually make fun of HIM as a person? Other than the fact that he was the producer of this garbage, why would he take it personally; given that they were obviously not artistic endeavors on his part and merely cash grabs? It's not like Joe Don Baker, who I believe has a legitimate beef with the MST3K crew (I'm not siding with J.D., I'm only saying that I understand why he'd be super pissed).
I love the fact that the overwhelming majority of actors that ended up MSTed ,and knew they'd been MSTed, love the show and supported it and ended up hanging with the people at Best Brains. This goes to show you exactly how bad these films were, that the stars were HAPPY to hear that these films had been bashed. It's not like every actor thinks everything they starred in was absolute gold. In fact, I believe most actors loathe their very profession and medium. Almost all actors in their golden years dump on just about their entire career, save for a couple enjoyable experiences or films that they saw as worthwhile. Hollywood is a crap factory and they know it.

My current theory on Sandy Frank being so anti-BBs is that he wants those movies to fade away into history; they're not exactly films he wants mentioned in his obituary. Note how there is no mention of any of any MSTed films in his bio.

Note how there is no mention of any of any MSTed films in his bio. Despite the fact that these films are what got him started on the road to becoming the media mogul he is today: "Since starting his own film syndication company 35 years ago, Sandy Frank has built his company into the longest established and most successful independent distributor of syndication programming in the television industry." Hey Sandy, what films were you syndicating 35 years ago? What? No comment? Why not?

A famous fan of MST3K? How about me?
Well, not quite "famous"- but I do have 10 pages of hits on Google! (my real name is Mike DiCerto)
I have directed a feature film (NO EXIT) that starred Vincent Pastore (Sopranos) and Frank Zagarino (!- action hero of the B kind!)
My novel, Milky Way Marmalade (that Mike Nelson is currently reading) was just nominated for an EPPIE for best SF of 2003!
SO maybe in the future...I can be called a famous MSTie!
Fingers crossed.

How about Rick Sloane the director of "Hobgoblins" and some people who made "Future War" (I heard of that, they INTENTIONALLY made the movie bad, because they wanted the movie to appear on MST3K)?

Hey, my bands CD went uh... not quite gold or even pewter. Do they have a "Paper" category in music?
"sigh" well, I'm at least as famous as Joe Estevez!

Rock N' Roll baby!, bands name is "Ophelia's Kiss". We have a page at "CD Baby" that I haven't updated in ages (I'd add a link but I have to run to work soon). And our song "Monster" received some local air play, so that was cool.
