In Manos, when Crow mentioned something about "Bon Mots", he pronouced it wrong. He said it as it sounds like. In French, and how most people really say it, it is pronouced "Bo (nasalized o) Moh". And also, sometimes it looks like Crow is facing opposite the movie screen. Just sayin' Well, post your MST3K mistakes on stuff here and agree with me. I have a science essay to type. Au Revoir!

Isn't Trace French? I think Trace is playing around with his own ancestry.

Well, I didn't hear completely what Crow said, which gives me an excuse to watch Manos again.

I think I read something about this at Satilite news FAQ. Some people seem to think Crow is facing the wrong way. I never thought so. It must be because he's facing the camera in the host segments. from: www.magweb.com/sample/sshadpre/sp18mst3.htm Q: Which way do the 'bots face when in the theater? It looks like Crow is actually facing away from the screen. A: The 'bots, in addition to Mike and Joel, face toward the screen, with their backs to Cambot and thus the audience. What you are seeing is an optical illusion that many people have reported seeing.

I will always wonder if they had him face the camera on purpose for one movie segment just to see if anyone would notice an obvious difference...anybody get what I'm trying to say here?

Taken from ACEG:
Q: Which way is Crow facing when he's in the theater?
A: Crow faces toward the screen, and away from the viewer. This is a common illusion referred to as a visual ambiguity. You see,Crow's head, although three dimensional, is blackened by the shadow effect, and as an object it tends to reverse depth depending on its orientation and that of the viewer. The motion parallex is misread, as the apparent distances of the near and far surfaces fluctuate.

Ok ....major DUH!!! Why would you think that Crow wasn't facing the screen.....the whole point is for him to watch the movie....unless he has eyes in the back of his head............sorry if i'm alittle snappy....but people are always saying this and I believe it is a little bit obvious.... That's the on screen reason. The off screen reason is it's got to be easier to operate the puppet facing the way everybody else is.

It's just like the meeker cube. Although in one movie, I forget, he does turn the other way.

when i was a kid as I watched the show, I too always thought Crow faced the wrong way. But for the longest time now, I've known he doesn't. That never occured to me. Maybe it's a kid thing.
