I'm going to Media Play this weekend for a MST DVD. I need your imput to help me decide which one(s) to get.
I have these Rhino eps already: -Red Zone Cuba -The Unearthly -Eegah -The Brain That Wouldn't Die
Also, I have seen these episodes and found them to be bland, so don't recommend these: -The Gunslinger -The Atomic Brain -Manos: The Hands of Fate (sorry fans, I truly don't think this one is that great)
So, which Rhino releases are the best, I need to know quickly! Help Help Help!
Thank you.

-Manos: The Hands of Fate (sorry fans, I truly don't think this one is that great) To each his own, I suppose. Well, I own all of the DVD's but Hellcats and The Crawling Hand so I can help you out. Let's see. Mitchell is very good, as is I Accuse My Parents. If you enjoy having your intelligence insulted you could pick up Wild World of Batwoman(Some people love this episode, some people despise it so proceed with caution. I love it though). And you can't go wrong with any of the Box Sets. If you prefer Joel, I would get Vol. 2 with Pod People and Cave Dwellers. If you prefer Mike I'd go with Vol. 4 with Girl in Gold Boots, Overdrawn at the Memory Bank, Space Mutiny, and the painful Hamlet. If I had to pick Joel eps it would be 1)Mitchell 2) I Accuse My Parents, and one Mike ep it would be Beginning of the End. I would've said Wild World of Batwoman for Mike, but it seems to be a polarizing episode, ya either love it, or hate it. I hope this helps you.

I'm going to agree and say Mitchell. I would recommend just buying the last box set though. But, if you only got money for one, go with Mitchell. It never seems to disappoint.

If you will only be buying ONE, then it MUST be Mitchell.
Its a classic, hilarious and the transition show.

Yeah, I'd have to agree with Mitchell. It's a solid episode, has hilarious riffs and a watchable movie. Don't get Wild, World of Batwoman. You either love it or hate it, I personally hate it, as was mentioned and so it's not a good risk if you can only get one thing. If you're looking to eventually complete an entire collection then pick it up in the end, but not before. The host segments are really good, because they focus entirely on the Cheating short as Crow tries to make it work for him, but there's a lot of movie to fast forward through to get to them. (I still only have it on tape.)

If you get a set, the one with Pod People and Cave Dwellers.
Individual eps: "Mitchell" for sure. And "I Accuse My Parents" was Joels favorite (and one of mine as well)

Wow, when you put STAT in your thread title, I feel compelled to respond!
I agree with the choice of Mitchell. You'll love it. My favorite part is then the gun falls down Mitchell's pant leg, and Joel's reaction. HA!
Catalina Caper is a good one if you're into the 60's teeners kind of movie, plus it has Little Richard. But I got it from Rhino because with all the references to it on other eps, I figured it was one of the greats. I was disappointed, it's not one of the greats, but still a good deal. I would not recommend Beginning of the End - fairly bland giant grasshopper deal. If you're going for a giant bug, The Deadly Mantis is the preferred insect to go with.

If you've got a nice chunk of left over cash, i'd pick up Volume 1. The Skydivers alone makes it worth the $50, or however much it costs. The Creeping Terror is pretty good as well. I haven't watched Bloodlust or Catalina Caper yet, though.

I just finished reading all the posts in this thread and was wondering when someone was gonna say Sidehackers...thanks Forrest...I personally LOVE that one...although the sound quality of the movie isn't the best. I also recommend Mitchell, Cave Dwellers, Pod People, or The Crawling Hand...but I'm a big Joel fan, so I'm kinda biased.
yeah, pick me up a dime bag of those "shoes" (Sidehackers)

Wow, I guess Mitchel is the way to go. I should be getting a check from my job by this weekend, but right now I can only afford one. In the off chance that I do get to cash my check before I head out to Media Play, I'll probably pick up a box set.
I've been wanting to see Skydivers since the reference in Red Zone Cuba, because thats one of my Top 5 Favorites of all Time! (So is EEGAH, but I got that one already)
I'm not getting box 4, because, I didn't mention this before, I've been bootlegging off of SciFi for like, 2 years already, so I have everything in Box 4 on VHS tapes on a shelf in my room, as well as like 24 other eps from SciFi.
Thanks though, you guys are a nice bunch of people

al27, have you checked out the tape trading section? I've been a fan of the show since '89 but I didn't have any on tape until 2001. I started out with just the Sci Fi episodes, but now I have about 100...thanks to tape traders.
"keep circulating the tapes"

Mitchell sucks. We both have similar tastes, so you will LOVE Wild World of Batwoman.
