Like, half an hour ago.
Overall, it was good, the thing about MST to me though is I find that I really find out whether I love or just like the episode upon subsequent veiwings. You just can't catch the nuances and riffs the first time through. Sometimes watching an ep more than once is good for understanding the plot better too. I actually understand what Future War and even Overdrawn at the Memory Banks are about just because I've seen them 20 times. So you lose a lot the first time just because you're trying to figure out the movie.
But from what I saw, I liked it, and I'm sure it will be a favorite upon subsequent viewings, thanks to most of you for recomending it. I'm sorry you didn't like it, nightfalcawk, but I did.
Also, Joel leaving was well done, I liked how Mike tricked Frank about the keys.
And is it just me, or was the movie really hard to hear?
By the way, look for Mitchell on the next installment of How Would You Rate This MST? on Tuesday (No school on Monday, thats where I have the rules saved on MS Word).
Your first impressions, if some of you can even remember that far?

I only loved the host segments. I've given it tons of leeway but it keeps dissapointing me. I don't know. Maybe something is wrong with me.

It to me is the funniest episode of MST3K as far as in the theater, the host segments are good just because it's the end of Joel. I miss him already.

Easily one of my favorates. They did delete several scenes though which probably made the movie a little harder to follow.

Hmmm...you make a good point. Well, I'm convinced.
But I kid.
I like Mitchell. I remember seeing it for the first time back in college when it first aired. A group of my college friends and I gathered around the TV, like it was the last episode of M*A*S*H, or something. It didn't disappoint us.

I think I watched Mitchell the first time it aired. I knew it was a great episode after I saw the scene where Mitchell walks up to the car, looks in the window at the beautiful woman, and says "Hi! I'm Mitchell!" in a dumb cracker voice. When he inexplicably bickered with the kid on the skateboard, then became completely enraged, that sealed the deal for me. It was the first Rhino VHS I owned. Ah, nostalgia.

I never had a hard time with "Mitchell" as I've read some have. It was pretty much love at first sight (with the riffing. Not the bloated, sweaty, beer stained cop)

I didn't like it the first time I watched it, but the more I saw it, the better it got.

I love Mitchell. Its so goofy 70s TV that I kinda miss.
The riffs are great although as much as I love her, Gypsy can't hold up host segments alone.
"Man, even scarface didn't do that much!"
funny
love all the Johnny Mathis jokes.
In FACT, I'm gonna put it on right now!!

BUT IT'S MITCHELL.
If you don't like Mitchell, I'll kill this Sandwich I have.
Actually, I was just kidding, it's just my favorite episode so I like to push people around into liking it. In fact on first view I thought it was overrated by the more you watch it the more you can find funny about it. But then again someone once said, one favorite part for a MSTie is a worst for another. Hell I didn't like Cave Dwellers until very recently.
