Imagine if in the next couple weeks, Shout says something insane like "KTMA episodes are finally coming to DVD!". Well, if those comments Joel Hodgson made about a new crowdfunding campaign to record the MST3k Live show movies in the studio for release materialize, maybe more of those KTMA episodes will be offered as rewards, just like the first 2 episodes from the last Kickstarter. Shout was able to offer those two KTMA episodes because they were Gerry & Sylvia Anderson films that were part of the ITV catalog, which they had licensing rights to. Maybe something similar will happen with all the KTMA episodes featuring the Sandy Frank Japanese films, including the Gamera series (which they've reacquired the rights to), Time of the Apes, Mighty Jack, and the Fugitive Alien episodes from KTMA.

I can honestly see the Sandy Frank episodes getting a release now. We still have one missing episode and now would be the perfect time to release the Gameras.

Is there any solid indication that they got the Gamera rights back completely, and this isn't just a one time, streaming only deal? None of the on demand sites are listed in that ad, like Tubi.

Way-to-go Joshua for cracking the QUEST OF THE DELTA KNIGHTS rights! Glad other people are still doing digging on these last few hold-outs.
Very cool to see Shout snag the streaming rights to the GAMERA titles again, I wonder if they worked directly with Kadokawa or if they were able to work out a deal with Arrow Video? Either way, very exciting for the fans who didn't get a chance to pick up the box set.

That's amazing. I really never thought they would bring the set back, but it's great that they did. Now come on, let's get one more volume with the Paramount episodes!

I share in the hope that this episode could join the three Paramount titles for a putative Vol. 40 box set (and, while I'm dreaming big, served alongside featurette interviews with David Warner and Richard Kind), Warner did a "Random Roles" interview at the AV Club a few years back, and seems to be a fan of both the movie and MST3k, so he'd almost certainly be up for it.

Thought this would be relevant to post about here. Shout Factory has announced that slates of their releases is going out-of-print. These include the uncut Blu-ray editions of "The Screaming Skull", "The Brain That Wouldn't Die", and "The Bat People". Each of those releases contains the MST3k episode edition of the films. I have no idea if this affects the availability of the MST3k DVD editions. Last year, the Blu-ray edition of "Squirm" went out-of-print. Several of the movies seen in Seasons 11 are going out-of-print. These include "The Time Travelers", "The Beast of Hollow Mountain" (as a double feature with "The Neanderthal Man", seen in The Mads Are Back shows). www.shoutfactory.com/page/list/id/282113Also, Shout Factory is offering the last copies of the Kickstarter edition Blu-ray and DVD sets of MST3k: The Return, Season 11. They're limiting purchases to 1 copy per person until stock is depleted. www.shoutfactory.com/product/mystery-science-theater-3000-season-eleven-webroughtbackmst3k-collector-s-edition?product_id=7469

MGM is the common denominator with those films, right? The volumes that IT LIVES BY NIGHT and THE SCREAMING SKULL were included on were 2014 releases, so that shakes hands with the seven-year license that seems to be standard.

That's fantastic. I'm planning on watching all of the Gamera episodes in order. So, I still have two KTMA Gameras to get through first. I'm glad that they're on demand now so I can watch them whenever. BTW, I still think that they should release the KTMA versions sometime soon. Now that they have a second chance at Gamera, releasing them in high quality seems like an obvious thing to do.

This is fantastic news for fans who missed out buying this set years ago. My best friend and fellow MST3K was one of em and he was thrilled when I told him the set was back in print via Shout's website. He'll be buying it ASAP I wonder how Shout worked out getting the rights back, maye a deal with Arrow Video who just put out the complete Gamera collection BluRay set?

would it be funny if we get the two Godzilla films before the Hart films and the one Wade film he like.

It would be ideal if the Gamera episodes were sold through Rifftrax while the license renewal is still fresh. If any episodes ought to have DVD images in circulation, it's the ones most at risk of the rights being lost down the line.

BTW, I still think that they should release the KTMA versions sometime soon. Now that they have a second chance at Gamera, releasing them in high quality seems like an obvious thing to do. It seems like Shout would want to maximize a return on their investment. I doubt they're satisfied with simply owning the KTMA episodes without generating revenue from them, especially after they've nearly exhausted the release of main canon episodes. And they may not get this opportunity again after expiration of the current license.
