BTW, it is easy to tell Jim's Gypsy from Patrick's. Jim is more feminine and easy-to-understand. Patrick's is more deep and raspy.

Actually, Patrick's Gypsy does sound somewhat akin to Jim's early Gypsy, circa Seasons 1 and 2. Sometime in Season 3, he made her voice higher.

I'm surprised no ones mentioned her one woman show. I don't remember what episode it's in.

I'm surprised no ones mentioned her one woman show. I don't remember what episode it's in. Well, I saw it at a lovely little cabaret in downtown Minneapolis, and it moved me to tears. I mean, that other show, I'm Getting My Act Together, Taking It On The Road and Shoving It In Your Face didn't come close to the depth of feeling Gypsy had when she performed. While watching her, I suddenly realized how audiences felt when they were in the presence of Eartha Kitt at Cafe Carlyle, or Sarah Vaughn at Mr. George's, or Yma Sumac anywhere. I'm surprised a movie or at least an autobiography hasn't come out about Gypsy.

There was a sweetness between Joel and Gypsy that was endearing. It didn't work as well with Mike.

I liked Gypsy too. I think that it was cool that Joel let her come into the theater to see what they did. It was one of those awful Hercules flicks, can't remember which one. She quickly left, but it was still cool because it was something different, and it also explained why Gypsy isn't in the theater during an experiment.

Didn't she have but one riff while there? Something about the horses...

I think Gypsy's presence was much needed on the show. If you didn't have one "straight" character on the ship the whole mix of mads, sarcastic robots and goofy janitor would have come crashing down in a pile of silliness and consequently the show wouldn't be as good as it was. Gypsy was in sharp contrast to the others in being less gullible than she let on, smart, deadpan funny and never a foil.

And she was dead cute, too.

I LOVE GYPSY! She's one of those characters that you can't believe someone was lucky enough to think of. Everything she says is funny. She's my hero!
I'm in it for the kicks!
