It's a busy weekend for me, so I don't have time to make a big, witty post this time. Sorry.
Anyway, swords.

I'll take "s" words for $100.
Oh.
Anyway, it's The Magic Sword for me.

No contest here. Sword+Dragon beats a plain old Magic Sword any day of the week.
Though both are enjoyable episodes, only one is a masterpiece.

I went Magic Sword, though I love them both. There are a couple of hot sisters in Magic Sword, ya' know. And here I'm not referring to Estelle Winwood.

The Russo-Finnish genre always wins out for me, Sword and Dragon!

Sure. My posts are witty*. I'm going to have to re-watch both of these before voting. I remember many great things about both. *for a given value of "wit".

Where's my wit! I want my Friday's dosage of wit!
Um, as for the best sword. magic is just that and I love it much. But Dragon gets the edge just for the hilarious first half alone. And Ilia is my hero!

Tough contest. Both are good episodes. I can watch the Magic Sword just for the movie {and yes, that was a very precise cut on that scene, wasn't it?} but I wouldn't want to touch the Sword and the Dragon without the MST treatment. I usually end the episode after a half hour because I can't follow the plot.
Magic Sword wins because it has the better dragon and better sword.

This is a tough contest indeed. Unlike B.D. Zombie, I could watch both movies unMSTed. Theoretically, anyhow, since I never have. But the movies seem enjoyable on their own merits. Let's see, Sword and Dragon have the great bad guy with Boris Badenov's voice. Magic Sword has a pretty coherent plot and the great Estelle Winwood. Not sure how to choose. Let's say I had the opportunity to buy just one of these two eps on DVD. I'd go with S&D, because with all the sweeping "cast of thousands" fight scenes, it would really look great full-screen. If I had the chance to watch one of the two eps on YouTube or Shoutcast (as usual), then... I guess I'd watch Magic Sword, because it's easier to follow in tiny format. So, for once, I'm going to wimp out and say it's a tie.

Magic Sword for me. Hello, Basil Rathbone in a turban! And yet maintaining his diginity! Dragons and cojoined twin servants and undead knights and witches and so on!
Sword and Dragon just never did it for me. I want to like it, I really do...but one thing you can say about Burt I Gordon, his plots had some kind of coherency, no matter how stupid. But those Russo-Finnish fellas--must be something in the vodka.
That's the guy who played Sherlock Holmes, right there.
