Soooo...we doing MST related stuff, or just pictures in general? I think I'll start with just the MST stuff, personally. 'Cos I draw all the time, so if I went around showing off every picture I even remotely like, it'd take forever... Let's go in (as far as I can remember) chronological order of when they were drawn, here... Starting off: Ah, nostalgia. This is my very first MST-related pic. I drew it in January of 1993, shortly after I first became a fan (which was evidently November 28, 1992, _exactly_, according to the Satellite News front page...since that's the day that "Crash of the Moons" was originally broadcast and that's my first episode.) Aww. Ostensibly this was "for" a free-sketch (allowed to draw whatever you want) assignment for my art class at the time, but in actuality it was just because I wanted to. :) I _intended_ to actually send it in with a letter, but lost my nerve. Ah, well. i28.photobucket.com/albums/c218/Cleolanta42/originalmst3k.jpgI drew this mostly from memory, obviously, which is why I thought the "control panels" were more complex than they are...and check out the just outright _scribbles_ I used to simulate the textured walls of the SOL bridge! (And I forgot the "Movie Sign" lights.) :P But in general, I still kinda like it. Joel isn't quite right but I like the way the 'bots turned out. They both look as if they have _expressions_ on their faces...including Servo! Somehow. For some reason, to me it looks like he's LAUGHING. Probably at how badly I drew the bridge. :P More to come!--in other posts. This one's long enough already. ...Notorious

Cool. I have to say, out of the famous "divas", give me Madonna over Britney any day! At least Madonna (in the early days, anyway) at least somewhat wrote her own songs, as well as choreographing the videos and so forth. And (I got this from "Pop-Up Video!") she worked with a _real_ lion in the video for "Like a Virgin", for example, and it got loose at one point and COULD have attacked her. (Instead, however, it just wandered over and put its head on her lap, at least according to the Pop-Up Video story. Aww.) And she can actually SING. I may not agree with everything she does, but she has some actual talent and brains, and _that_, I respect.
Actually I have respect for anybody who made complex videos back in the days before CGI, where if they wanted an exotic location they either had to _go_ there or physically build a set, and if they wanted animals, they had to have real animals, etc. (Duran Duran went through a LOT while making their early videos, for another example. Yellow fever, being kicked off the beach and having to sneak back in and finish it with a camcorder, almost being eaten by sharks, almost drowning...)
Anyway. Getting off topic a bit here, but Elireburg, it seems we're not the only ones to think of writing stories that contain elements from MSTed movies! (points to the MST3K Music Video thread). But then again, it's not suprising. It _is_ an awfully rich and detailed "universe", after all. Which is why the "Wacky Races" were so fun--we were allowed to use things from ANY MSTed movie, and people did--and it made for a _ton_ of variety!
Shutting up now...
