I can't believe it myself! I don't know where I'm finding the time to do this. Tonight for a change of pace I took a stab at creating my own DVD art for MST3K: The Movie. Two versions:

They're both wonderful, but I like the first one a wee bit more.

Yeah, the first one looks best, as it looks more like an official release of the movie. Keep it up, man!

Those are really great, Josh! Heh, Servo with shorts on his head on the back of the Shorts disc cover. But I've got to say, I'm surprised that you just had a plain plane pic on the Starfighters cover, and not a sexy shot of refueling.

Kinda makes it look more exciting than it really is, huh? But it was the best hi-res pic I could find, so I went with it.

Well, it's better to have a quality cover. Oh, wait, is that a pic of refueling on the back cover? Then it's perfect. I particularly like how you have the old movie posters on the back of each one. They can be a source of unintentional humor all on their own. And your choice of cover shots for Shorts Vol. 3 and Mr B's are my favorites.

Hey Josh, are these designed to go over normal-sized DVD boxes, or the thin ones?
I'm seriously considering printing these out and re-organizing my collection.

They're designed for slim cases to cut down on shelf space. I've been printing them on glossy Memorex inserts and using clear, double-disc slim cases from Staples (so I can include the un-MSTed movie on a separate disc when possible). Here's my shelf so far (about halfway there):

Cool. Thanks Josh. Can regular paper be used for them, or do you need the glossy inserts?
I mean, do the glossy inserts last longer?
