Glossy prints look a little better, that's all. But any kind of paper should do. They don't have crop marks on them, so you'd either need to use some kind of template to cut them or use pre-made inserts from Avery or Memorex. Maybe I need to add crop marks at some point.

I really love those covers - great job! Could I make a few requests/suggestions for the MST3k Extras section? I really want to have cases for these two that match the episode cases...:
This is MST3k / The Making of MST3k
Summer Blockbuster Reviews / Robot's Choice Awards
Also, a version of the MST3k: TM cover for a double-width (2-disc)case would be neat...

Thanks, Gamera.
I will be making a variety of "extras" covers when I finish with season 10 (and eventually I'll do KTMA), including the two you've requested.
By the way, I use clear slim cases I get from Staples that can hold 2 discs. Whenever possible, my cases include both the MST episode and the original movie.

I saw these on the Rifftrax board. Josh, they are easily the most beautiful fanmade DVD covers I have ever seen. Seriously, I wish I had the means to print these out and use them, right now. (That's a long way off.) I'd love to know how you managed such high-quality screencaps.
