We can all agree we hate most new music though, right? Servo What, there's new music? I thought they were just recycling old ideas.

Hehehe, sure. That's what I like about you Phantom, your sarcasm is just as biting as mine. We can all agree we hate most new music though, right? Servo Yeah, they try to recycle rock but, gosh darned it, they always seem to forget some parts like, ummm, the solos, good singing, and understandable lyrics. Not like those things matter (snicker, cough) to make "good music", Servo

For good 80's music I forgot the punk side. The Clash The Ramones X
I previously mentioned Bob Marley but I think most of his work was in the 70's. I time shifted there.

Did you know that one of X's albums was actually produced by Ray Manzarek of Doors fame (or shame right now). Just another pointless fact I thought you guys might like to know. Servo

80's music suck? Infidel!
Just kidding.
However, I am now officially OLD.
I was in Walgreen's last night and knew every song played on Muzak ... including "Panama" by Van Halen.
I could not believe that song was being used to subtly influence people into buying more aspirin or cosmetics.
Oh well ... at least it's better than the easy listening instrumental stuff that used to be played all the time in the stores. Those instrumental/easy listening stations were run by pranksters, though, because I heard "Sexy & 17" by the Stray Cats once in the stores playing that music, "What Is and What Should Never Be" by Led Zeppelin in the airport, and ... I kid you not ... "Purple Haze" by Jimi Hendrix while waiting on hold.

I don't particularly like most '80's music, although I love some of it. My favorite music is classic rock, especially British psychadelic. Anyway, about hideous eighties songs, has anyone heard "Johnny Are You Queer?" Makes "Piglicker" from "Hobgoblins" sound like Pink Floyd.
