According to The Exorcist III, old people with mental illnesses are the easiest to possess. Stuff like pschizophrenia, dementia and Alzheimer's. Not that this has anything to do with you.....*ahem*

Why would they want weak old person army things? People possessed by demons acquire demon strengths. The demon spirit simply needs a material body to act out its will. To some degree, it doesn't matter how "strong" or "weak" the material is under normal circumstances.

How does evil increase strength?

There are no angels in The Exorcist. I was just going by the movie's explanation. That's a good question, why aren't there angels who can possess people and fight the evil spirit? I think William Peter Blatty's answer is, Satan enters people's bodies because he has powers outside of God's realm. Perhaps God did not give angels the power to do this thing that demons do, because it is evil. What I'm saying is, possessing people is evil, so angels don't do it. Or there are no angels at all, which is the impression I got. The only ones who can fight the demon possession are the few humans with the gift of exorcist power.
BTW, William Peter Blatty wrote and directed The Exorcist and The Exorcist III. He wrote a book called "Legion" that ExIII is based on. I haven't read it. Read it if you want more explanation.
P.S. I don't believe in demons or angels. It's just a good movie.
P.P.S. I love my new avatar!

HEY! How are you already a moderator?!! From the office of Blurryeye, Moderator: Thank you, [Insert name here], for your inquiry into the wonderment that is Blurryeye, Moderator. I value your questions, comments, criticism, and most of all, praise. [Insert name here], your participation in this board is of great importance to me. Unfortunately, I am too busy at this time with my all-consuming moderator duties and self-congratulatory internal monologue to address your question, comment, criticism or praise specifically. If you did praise me, please feel free to continue to do so. If you were correcting a spelling error I made, bite me. Once again, thank you for your inquiry, [Insert name here]. If you have further questions, please direct them to the Administrators of this board, as they have more power than I do, so I like them to be pestered. Best wishes, Blurryeye, Moderator

You've got your form letters ready this soon? That's always a sign of a good moderator. You even thought so much as to add the anti-Nightfalcawk clause to yours before he had a chance to correct your spelling. Bravo! Auto-response to whoever: Thank you [insert handle here] for trying to correct something or have a sensible rebuttal to something that I, TomServo69, has said. I'm sure that you were quite witty and remarkably great in your remarks and I appreciate you, [insert handle here], for brightening my day with you genius comments. And, to you [insert handle here, but, you know who you are], I didn't spell anything wrong I don't believe, so, eat it punk. Thank you [insert handle here] for your comments and, well, if you had any questions, be assured that they won't be answered. Any smart-ass comments will be directed towards my partner, PhantomEngineer, so as we can get your belittling rebuttal out to you as soon as possible. Servo
