Hey kids! Uncle Servo and his wacky, somewhat historical polls have returned. This time we are going to settle that age old debate, "What is the best of the seven wonders of the ancient world?". Now, I just know we've all had arguments with people about this. Those jerks who love the Great Pyramid of Giza. Those guys who want to fight if you say something bad about the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus. Well, let us settle this. So, what's your favorite? Sure, you'll never see them (except the pyramid), but, which one would you most like to see if you could? I also left an eighth option for ANCIENT WONDERS ONLY!!! There will be other polls for modern and natural wonders. And, yes, I know Jay-Z and Andre the Giant have also touted themselves as the eighth world wonder, but, once again, modern. Me, my favorite would have to be the Collosus of Rhodes. A giant frickin' 110 ft tall statue built to give praise to the sun god. Those crazy Rhodians! So, what's your fav? Let it be known! And, for those of you who want more info on world wonders, check this out: ce.eng.usf.edu/pharos/wonders/Until the next poll, Servo

The F15 Eagle! It's amazing that these $20 million+ heaps of garbage can take off and fly sorties every day!
But I kid. I voted for the pyramids. It blows me away to see them, because such huge creations were made by man!

I voted for the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus because I thought it was a great burial, better than the Roman Mausolea that's for sure. I also voted for it because Herodotus is one of my favorite authors, and he's from there.

Pyramid of Giza, easily. It's so precise, and it is thought impossible to make using the techniques Egyptians used for all the other pyramids, and it would even be hard if not impossible to make an exact replica with modern day machinery (yousonuva, aliens may not be that farfetched when it is looked at from a technical standpoint) Plus, it's older than pretty much anything else from Egypt, and it, through scientific research, is now thought by many to have been built by a civilization before the Egyptians (The Great Pyramid of Giza is also the only Pyramid in Egypt that doesn't have hieroglyphs), and the Egyptians were infuenced by them (much like the Incas, Aztecs and Mayans were influenced by the hardly talked about Olmecs) Everything else pales in comparison to The Great Pyramid. Yes, but the Babylonians created a device more close to perpetual motion than anything in thousands of years. It's also pretty.

Tower of Babel!
But seriously, I have to go with the Great Wall of China. You can see it from space and among other neat historical facts that are drawing blanks in my mind right now.
It dwarfs your pyramids.

The Great Wall may not be visible from space. Who knows? Apparently, you can't see stars from the surface of the moon, either. Or at least that's what those who faked the moon landing would have us believe.
And the Great Wall of China isn't an "Ancient" wonder of the world. I believe it's one of the "Modern" ones, though. A list I'm sure Servo will have up soon.
And I'm kidding about the fake moon landing, so don't nobody get all snooty and scientific up in my grill.

So when is the exact second (or millesecond) that the ancient world became the modern world?
If you don't know, just give me the day or week or whatever...
