This is my first attempt at a review in a while so, bear with me. I had the luxury of seeing "Big Fish", the latest endeavor by Tim Burton, earlier than everyone else in the country because it was filmed mostly here in my hometown, Wetumpka Alabama. All I have to say about this movie is that it is excellent. Starring Ewan McGregor, Albert Finney, and having a 4 star supporting cast which includes Steve Buscemi and Danny DeVito, it is the poigant tale of a teller of tales who is getting up in years and is passing tales of his life on to his son. These tales range from encounters with poetry telling bank robbers to meetings with giants and witches. Since this is a Tim Burton film, the element of fantasy that hangs over the film is great as is usual. It's hard to say much about the film without ruining it but, as an avid film goer and fan of fantasy and basically great storytelling, I can say that this is one of the best films I've had the pleasure of seeing in a while. I give it 3 and 3/4 out of 4 stars. And for those of you who will get a chance to see this already 4 time nominated Golden Globe movie, be sure to take in the backgrounds and settings, cause I get to live in it everyday.
Freaky!!! Hope you enjoyed my horrible promo/review,
Servo
Oh yeah, and I got to drink with Steve Buscemi, he rocks!!

I have the book and want to see this flick. I'm a big fan of Daniel Wallace. His book entitled "Ray in Reverse" was/is fantastic!!!!!

I'm probably going to see it on Friday. I'm really looking forward to it. I love Tim Burton movies, but he's been on a bit of a slide since Ed Wood. Hopefully this will be a return to his former quality.

Oh believe me, Burton definitely regains his step with this one. I guess that means I just live in a creepy place cause, well, the movies just creepy and fantastical.

TIM BURTON! YAY! (look at my Batman)
I want to see that movie, and I am jealous of TomServo69 for having the luxury of seeing it earlier. My mom and dad, the forces of evil in my movie universe, will probably say," No. don't you want to see 'Love don't cost A thing?" I patiently wait for it to arrive in my little town cinema in the JV mall.

Just look at the credits, it'll say, filmed in Wetumpka, Alabama, where I have to kick around all the time. At least it looks cool in the movie. Servo

Just in the interest of accuracy, I believe the title is Big Fish, no "The".

Well I went and saw it again, it was better the second time. Go and see it when you get a chance, you won't regret it.

To tell you the truth, I was planning on seeing it from the moment I saw the first preview. I've been very into "surreal" stuff lately.

Believe me, it's well worth whatever amount of bread you have to shell out to see it. Tim Burton definitely proves that he is the man with this one. Also, I recently read that he's directing the remake of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Johnny Depp is playing Willy Wonka!!! Excellent!!!
