I am crazy about Red Dwarf. I have all 52 episodes taped off PBS. I have Series 1-4 on dvd. I can't wait for the Red Dwarf movie. I like Red Dwarf second only to MST3K. Take that, ya smegheads.

I've been downloading Red Dwarf episodes, as to see which ones i've seen before. I used to watch it every Saturday night.
I recently watched Gunmen of the Apocolypse. GREAT episode! Rimmerworld is one of the funniest. Also, I can't remember the name of the ep, but it's the one where some thing gets on the ship, and turns into a pair of Lister's shorts. When he puts them on, they start shrink. Kryten has to pull them off. It is one of the funniest things i've ever seen!

Red Dwarf was great, clever, and well written. I'm partial to seson 1, and I prefer the original Holly.

I love Red Dwarf, too! Funny how we all seem to like the same shows. Rimmer is my favorite character (he was Lara's butler in Tomb Raider!). I like all the seasons for different reasons. If you like the show, you'l probably enjoy the 4 books written by the series' creators. They do a great job of fleshing out the characters and backstory. Can't wait for the movie!! I heard a big inspiration for the show was a John Carpenter movie called Dark Star.
If you like RD, you may also like The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, another british sci-fi comedy. Take your choice of medium: the original radio series (check your local library), the 5 novels and 1 short story, the TV series (check Kazaa or Amazon.com), the comic books, even a stage play and soon a movie!

FACT: Danny John-Jules (The Cat) played a vampire named Asad in Blade 2. He traded in one pair of fangs for another!

www.imdb.com/title/tt0094535/More info about this stuff here. The local PBS station used to air it here in Dallas, but it kind of vanished from the schedule magically a few months ago. Shame too. It was absolutely hillarious. My favorite scene was when Kryten tried to call Rimmer a smeghead. "You're a smooogheeed..." ;D Here's more info on the Red Dwarf movie. It's going to have Rimmer and all the cast in it! www.imdb.com/title/tt0276447/

I've only seen a few episodes of Red Dwarf, but they have all been hilarious. It used to come on Saturday nights at like 3 a.m., which I'm sure is not the best time to judge the quality of british comedies. Then again, maybe it is.... I'll have to get my hands on some eps. and have another viewing.
