Hmmm...I like the 80's. The group I'm going to pull out of my ass this time is Ghostbusters (best movie ever), Godzilla 1985, Back to the Future, Back to the Future Part II, and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
Honorable mention to some classic Arnie, the Running Man and Predator namely.

Probably the most hollow decade in cinema (American, at least) ever, next to the 2000's. Except for action movies. Off the top of my head: The Empire Strikes Back Raiders of the Lost Ark/Indy and the Last Crusade (to choose one per series) T2: Judgment Day <--- Just seeing if anyone was paying attention Aliens Oh, and no love for Airplane! ? Maybe replace T2 with The Untouchables.
