From Satellite News: KEVIN HOSTS TWIN CITIES "TALK CINEMA" SERIES On select Saturdays this fall, winter and spring, Kevin Murphy will be host for the Minneapolis/St. Paul edition of TALK CINEMA. The series features a sneak preview of a brand new film, sometimes weeks before it's released, complete with a guest speaker and open-mike discussion with the audience afterward. The best part--the audience doesn't know what the film will be until it's shown. Oh, and there'll be free coffee, too.
TALK CINEMA will meet at 10 a.m. at Landmark's Edina Cinema, 3911 West 50th St in Edina, MN on the following dates:
Nov 13, 2004 Dec 11, 2004 Jan 22, 2005 Feb 12, 2005 Mar 19, 2005 Apr 16, 2005 Apr 30, 2005 The cost is $15 for general admission on the day of the show ($5 for students) or $84 for a complete series subscription. For more information, visit www.talkcinema.com or call 800-551-9221.

I may go once I get my liscense.
Note: I got my license, and learned how to spell the word. There is a possibility I could go, but it's pending my parents approval. Knowing them, they'll say no, and I'll have to weasel my way into making them say yes.

My wife and I will definitely be going once or twice. I think we might have to go on December 11th. Hopefully the movie doesn't suck! Actually it might be good if the movie sucks because I'm sure Kevin will have no problem tearing it apart in the after discussion!

Hey, look for a fat white kid, driving a Mercury Sable, and wearing a Van Halen hat. I'll look for ya. It should be a good time. I love the fact that the show is from here. We recently bought a copy of Mike Nelson's Movie Megacheese at Barnes & Noble that was autographed. He must have done a signing there or something and they just had it left over.

*Bump*
Hey Van Hagar, did you go in December? My wife and I had something come up and weren't able to make it. If you did how was it? We're going this Saturday for sure so I'm wondering what to expect.

Well I FINALLY WENT, and you'll never guessed what happened- Kevin no-showed. Oh well, I'm still going to Josh's standup on Tuesday and Mary Jo Pehl's thing on Wednesday.

Oh well, we'll be going on April 16th again and I know he'll be there then. That was definitely interesting. At least the movie was decent. It was a foreign film (Meaning subtitles which I normally HATE.) but I have to say I actually kind of enjoyed it. I'm sure it will be much better when Kevin actually shows up

I'm sure it will be much better when Kevin actually shows up Yeah, I have to admit, the movie was pretty good, but I didn't like the ending, I decided to not say anything. But I just sort of thought the movie just ended. I mean, we all knew they were getting together in the end, so the movie was filmed into a corner. The second I heard it was a French, I was almost sure I wasn't going to enjoy it. But it was okay, until towards the end when things got dragged out, and it just sort of suddenly ended. Too bad I wasn't there for the Japanese film they showed last month. Apparently there were some good child actors and I would have loved for Kevin to compare them to the kids in Invasion of the Neptune Men.
