Wow some awesome picks. I predicted 2 out of 5 in an earlier post (killer shrews, hercules unchained and assignment venezulea). I have all the episodes except for assignment venezulea (which Im glad I didnt buy when they had their xmas sale). And im glad they went with 4 episodes and a bonus feature. It's cool too because I have an EP tape that had Merlin, Prince, and Shrews on it, now I can give that tape to my girlfriend to help her build her collection...
My ratings for each Episode: 407: 9.5 408: 8.5 410: 8.5 816: 10.0

Love the Hercules...It would have been cooler as a box set, but still exciting.
Killer Shrews is one of my favorites. I love the killer shrews board game (Joel: "I can't move the pieces, they're glued down" Crow: "Just like the movie--they don't do anything but stand and talk and drink and stand!" Lots of crying.)
Prince of Space is pretty good, but I already have it in multiple formats. But that's okay.
I've never seen ASSIGNMENT: VENEZULA--excellent bonus.
I'm very pleased that they're including lots of Joel eps. I love Mike and all, and I enjoy the SciFi era as much as the CC era (in different ways), but the difference is, there are almost perfect, even digital, fan copies of almost all the SciFi era stuff. Where as some of the fan copies of older seasons are not as good. So, I always look forward more to those eps on DVD.
I would LOVE to see a DVD of 311: It Conquered the World. The sound on my DAP copy is pretty bad, and that is a great episode IMO.

The set looks great. I haven't seen The Killer Shrews, and the Hercules episodes since thy were on CC.
I've never seen Assignment: Venezuala so I'll be interested to see what that is like also.
Good job Rhino!

As someone who's been begging for more season 4 eps, I am smugly pleased.
It's just too bad that they couldn't go with even better season 4 eps, like Tormented or The Day The Earth Froze. But three more season 4 eps following the two in box set 6? Hooray for everyone!

Seeing the talk about predictions, I didn't do as well. beyond my dream set I thought realistically they'd release Ring of Terror (PD title) Giant Gila Monster & Magic Sword (both released by Rhino in unmsted form) and I stuck with Blood Beast (still hoping for a season 7)
So I really stunk. Carnac I'm not.

NOW can we have a season 7 episode? Please.

I think a key reason Rhino has been showing love to season four is because it's a heavily populated PD season. Which I say is a VERY smart move on their part.

I prefer Invasion of the Saucer Men to Prince of Space.

I prefer Invasion of the Saucer Men to Prince of Space. I think that Invasion of the Saucer Men would have been a great episode if they had done it. Were you thinking of Invasion of the Neptune Men? And why did I feel so silly when I typed that?

I´m going to go against the tide and say I didn´t like the picks. It´s because of personal reasons. I have seeng and own 3 of the 4 movies. All except Hercules Unchained. And I hated the Killer Shrews. It´s one of my least favorite episodes and one of 3 I couldn´t finish. I would be cool to see Assignment Venezuela but I´m going to pass on it like always.

Satellite News made a small update. Assignment Venezuela will have the two Scifi shorts like the Info Club tape.
Also we might be looking at an April 19th release date. They just want to ride the inevitable success of Psychonauts.

This is good news, IMO. Century 21 Calling and A Case of Spring Fever were two of the better shorts on MST3K, and it's great to hear that they will be getting a DVD release.
I'm new here. How do you write, "on (time and date), so-and-so wrote..."? I can't figure out how.
