I've been hoping for the Ed Wood films (The Violent Years, Bride of the Monster, and The Sinister Urge.) They could add Racket Girls and make it a very nice foursome.

Im pro Joel. I think most of the SciFi stuff was voted higher as most MST3K fans these days have only been exposed to those. The old timer fans still want the key shows, the godzilla shows, the better Joel shows. Other fans just probably moved on... If BBI would allow it I bet show 101 would wind up on a box set sometime Final Sacrifice may wind up being on a Vol. in the future as well

I first saw the show when it was on KTMA here in the Twin Cities, and I still prefer the Mike era episodes. Nothing against Joel at all because I still love his episodes, but you can't generalize it and say that "most" fans prefer the later years just because they weren't exposed to the show until later. It's simply not true. It's all a matter of personal preferance. By the way I will guarantee you BBI would not want 101 on any set. They have all been very clear about the fact that they felt the show got much better as it went along.

Oh come on this ! Just because YOU prefer Mike doesnt mean squat. and thats your own opinion. I think MOST , notice how I didnt generalize, dickweed, I said MOST, not ALL fans prefer Joel episodes. Most fans caught on during the Sci Fi era, you cant deny that. If enough fans keep telling Rhino to put 101 on DVD as well as other Season titles, BBI should appease the fans, after all Season 1 is part of the 10 seasons and it counts for something. So there !

They have all been very clear about the fact that they felt the show got much better as it went along. I hate to disagree with ya MM, but I do. I think we all came to the conclusion once that it's pretty much when you started to watching is what you like the best. I don't think you saw the grand Joel vs. Mike where it became pretty evident how it is. It's not just MST3K, sometimes it's music or movies, or television, etc. etc. Yes, you are different, but you're the exception to the rule. To be fair, he said MOST, not all. Second, they released The Crawlind Hand, and you got to remember the key purpose as to why they had season one yanked off the air. It was during (or maybe before or after) their negotiations with Paramount for a movie, they didn't want a network executive turning in one night and seeing the cheap sets, with sometimes poorer riffing. Guys like Joel Hodgson and Kevin Murphy have said that they like these early seasons in their own way. At this point, why not release it onto DVD? Why don't they want these episodes to be released? It would just be some extra money, I doubt they'll lose to many fans from it. Maybe, Mallon thinks so, and I guess that's the key. But with the rumors of an entire season one box set, maybe his anti-season oneism is no more.

I don't believe the season 1 set rumor for a second. I don't think BBI or Rhino is against releasing season one eps though.

Yeah, it's could be untrue. But the selection from season one makes me think, maybe, possibly, there could have been something in that rumor. I'm not leaning either way right now whether it's true or not.

What about those of us that love BOTH mike and joel? I started watching during Joel, and when he left, of course I was sad, but I liked mike too...
