The heck--? Shoot, I guess I'd better go ahead and order it, then. I was hoping to wait till Deep Discount DVD's sale. Didn't I read somewhere else on this board that Rhino's being bought? Could that be affecting this?

Could that be affecting this? Time Warner already has 'em. I don't know if T/W is selling it off, however. I've seen nothing about it in the business sections.

My thoughts: Toho no likey Godzilla release-y
The Toho guys are like this whenever some company assumes an old Godzilla film is PD and release a DVD of it. Usually they stop it before its a released, but sometimes they're available for a few weeks or maybe months and then they dissapear.
..anyway, I glad I got mine the day it came out!

What the heck? The crap's really hitting the fan, these days. Looks like maybe Godzilla was too good to be true.

Glad I got my copy. Damn copyright issues. I hope Rhino doesn't get sued. Maybe they could rerelease Volume 10 and substitute another title for the offending one.

Glad I got mine. I did get a little curious why Rhino wasn't offering Volume 10 anymore, but the info that the Information Club wasn't selling it is very suspicious. Yeah, this probably has a lot to do with Godzilla vs. Megalon.

I'm confused.
I thought the Godzilla vs. Megalon deal was all cleared up?|
At any rate, glad I already have a copy.
Anybody know if any of the episodes on vol. 6 are endangered?

On Volume Six they're pretty much all public domain titles that have been released by multiple companies, I'm assuming Rhino just released them without securing the rights from anyone. I don't think there will be a problem with that one, although The Beginning of the End was a surprise and had been assumed public domain for a long time by a lot of people. The ones that have problems come from when Rhino gets them from another distributer which is sometimes a problem because I think the distributers don't have the rights to let Rhino use the movie but do anyway. The main ones that I think may be affected later are probably Wild Rebels and Women of the Prehistoric Planet.
I wonder what the history of Krypton International is, though, as they are the ones who licensed the movie to Rhino according to the box. Are they a reputable company, are they owned by a bigger corporation, are they the ones who used to be Goodtimes? I'd never heard of them. When I saw that Toho wasn't on the box I knew that wasn't a good sign.
What they really ought to do, if they can't get the rights back to Godzilla, is just release an MST3K DVD super-pack with the available titles from Volume 3 and 10 together at a discounted price.

Whoa, good catch. I'm happy I decided to break down and buy this one as well. We should spread the word that this will be going out of print soon so that anyone who was holding off on buying it can pick it up.
