Am I the only one that has lost hope that MST3K Vol. 11 will be released on May 15th?
Having had experence in the home video retail industry, and now that its already March 17th without there being any press release/order info from Rhino on Vol. 11th, makes it pretty unlikely.
As far as I remember Its kind of a rule in home video retail that retailers need to have orders in two months in advance so that vendors, Rhino, & etc. know how many DVDs are nessesary to be made, and shipped, right?
Added by the fact that they are losing rights to titles in already produced sets, has me wondering if we will EVER see any more sets.
I hope i'm wrong, I hope I can post on here a reply saying "I was wrong" because I love MST3K, and want to see every episode someday released. But at this point I will just wait to be surprized when we hear anything direct from Rhino.

Hehe, I didn't say I wanted to see every episode released by Rhino exactly. My thoughts were on "any" releases, by anyone making quality product. The way I see it, the MST3K Digital Archive Project has released more MST3K DVDRs then Rhino has (or will?), and while on one hand I think BBI should be making money on there product, on the other hand I keep thinking about the phrase "Keep curculating the tapes". Trust me "beljah" I'm not stupid enough to think that any studio can ever get the rights to all the movies, thats why I think the DAP are vital to all epsiodes being available.

I didn't consider it stupidity, but unguarded optimism. I'm glad you're aware that it's not very likely, in all honesty I'd love to see Rhino release every ep too, and you're doing what's necessary to pick up eps Rhino will probably never get.

Thank you beljah, unguarded optimism would have been better, and yes "doing what's necessary" was exactly my point Neil Any other thoughts?

Vol. 11 will be coming out for sure, even if it's delayed again. Rhino needs to do their homework, or just stick to releasing PD movie episodes for now. Oh, and they need to fire whoever has been making the covers too. Some examples of "safe" sets: Vol. 11 - THE GIANT GILA MONSTER; ATTACK OF THE EYE CREATURES; NIGHT OF THE BLOOD BEAST; HORRORS OF SPIDER ISLAND Vol. 12 - CRASH OF THE MOONS; GIRL IN LOVERS LANE; HIGH SCHOOL BIG SHOT; TRACK OF THE MOON BEAST - and that's just going on the "2-Joels, 1 CC Mike, 1 SFC Mike" formula.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Remember, we'll always have tape-/DVD-traders. Rhino's helpful, giving us the cleanest copies we'll ever get, but they're not our only hope or source. If Rhino reaches a point where they have to stop making episodes, frankly, it'll be there own fault. I obviously don't know everything about how their business is run or how the DVD/TV/movie business operates, but I'm certain that Rhino could be doing this much more efficiently. (For example, producing two-packs instead of four-packs, and releasing them more frequently.)

I would love to see those volumes.

Well, if you do Crash of the Moons you MUST do Manhunt in Space!

ALL HOPE HAS BEEN FOUND!!!- From Satellite News:
The Mystery Science Theater 3000 Collection: Volume 11, tentatively due out on May 15 from Rhino Home Video, will contain:
* episode 206- THE RING OF TERROR (with short: THE PHANTOM CREEPS PT 3) * episode 409- THE INDESTRUCTIBLE MAN (with short: UNDERSEA KINGDOM PT 2) * episode 414- TORMENTED * episode 1011- HORRORS OF SPIDER ISLAND
In addition, it will contain these extras:
* MST3K Video Jukebox, Volume 2 * Original Theatrical Trailers (for all except "Ring of Terror") * A "Tormented" Reunion (with Bert I. Gordon, Susan Gordon and Joe Turkel) * MST Hour "Jack Perkins" Wraps for "Tormented"
And, says our source, "future volumes of the MST3K Collection will feature some pretty exciting extras." Hmmm...

Yeah, you should just limit it to one thread. It's good you're excited, but this isn't that big of a deal, in reality. It's just spamming, at this point.
