Does anybody remember where this thread is? Can't find it with the 'superior search engine' of Proboards. Maybe I should ask if anyone else even remembers this thread. ...this thread being a contest to name the Experiments of VOL 11, for a prize of said volume. Forrest's brother deleted it. Since it's gone forever, I'm pretty sure I guessed them all correctly.

Ring of Terror will benefit from DVD treatment since the video print they used was so dark and murky. Assuming Rhino doesn't screw up the transfer. ? The movies aren't re-transferred for the DVDs (disregarding the non-msted versions on the early sets). The transfers used by BBI back in the day are an integral part of the show masters and cannot be swapped out. (Well, I suppose they could be if they still have all the raw footage of the theater segments and the show was reedited from scratch with new Shadow-rama composites made, but that's crazy talk.)

I'm kind of dissapointed slightly. I was REALLY hoping Giant Gila Monster would show up. But, it's nice to have ANY MST3K episodes out here.
I thought Ring of Terror was considered "unlikely". I'll have to check Travis's list again.
As for extras on future sets, a Best Brains reunion would be perfect. And it wouldn't be complete if Joel, and MAYBE Josh weren't there.
KTMA host segments from the lost episodes would be nice.

What I meant was that DVD resolution is better than our VHS/VHS to DVDR copies, and better than the original cable broadcasts. I'm kind of dissapointed slightly. That's actually good news for me.. more time between tax day and the release to re-build up funds to buy the discs.

The Vol. 11 eps look pretty good. I've actually got a good copy of Ring of Terror, but the Season 4 eps should be very interesting for me. I've seen Horrors of Spider Island and I can take it or leave it. The extras do look interesting, however. Too bad about the date getting pushed back. Again.
And that's nice to see that Vol. 1 will be back. That set is just too much of a classic to see it disappear. Now I'm hoping for the same thing to happen to Vol. 9.

The only episode on the set that I have seen is Horrors of Spider Island and I thought that was very funny. I mean, that movie and its awesome plane crash scene made the plane crash scenes in "Lost" and "Castaway" seem cheap!
Sorry to see it is being pushed out, but a delayed release is better than no release.
