Did anyone catch it. The Jan 9th episode. Jon Stewart was talking about all the other news anchors riffing on the presidential debates, and Jon remarked that it was like, "Mystery Science Theater". I think it's cool that MST is still in the mind of SOMEBODY from Comedy Central.

I loved the Stewart reference, however, I doubt if John was aware that writing was a very heavy part of the show after the KTMA years. If they were still on the air today, the writer's strike would have totally shut down the show, because the writers were also the actors -- not just a bunch of unknowns sitting in a little room somewhere. I wonder how much John Stewart actually writes.
