As long as it's not just my copy, fair enough. It looked like an issue with the master, anyway.

I got mine today also. Now these are extras! It’s too bad that Rhino couldn’t have put out episodes with great extras like these in the past.
First, the title screen – It’s a cool computer Giant Gila Monster that looks around while the haunting “Giant Gila Monster” theme song plays in the background. Good stuff!
And the extras!
The interview with Don Sullivan was great; he seems like a hip old cat. (I love the frames man!) He comes across as a really personable fella and he’s got some cool stories of his time spent in Hollywood and his work on the Giant Gila Monster. I love to hear stories like this and I hope that Shout Factory endeavors to include some interviews like this on their releases.
The songs were fun also, I liked “Tell me why” the best. EDIT - I went to donsullivanmovies.com which is mentioned on a footnote while you listen to the songs but he must have let the domain name expire because now its one of those annoying advertising search sites.
Photo Gallery! When I saw this I assumed it would be a lame collection of stills from the episode on the disc or something, but it’s a bunch of really cool behind the scenes of MST stuff which I don’t think I’ve seen anywhere before. The KTMA one really gives you an idea of how low budget they were, and concerning the shot of Trace and Kevin in the bot pit – I’m I really seeing their mics attached to clothespins which are taped to the brims of their hats? I had no idea.
Oh yeah, and there’s an all new awesome host segment or something like that. Ok, I’m totally nerding out watching the thing. At first it was kind of weird to see them look so different (it turns out that people age, who woulda thought!) but by the end of the segment I was completely sold and I could totally see them bringing MST back. (Although I have no idea how they would resolve the whole Mike/Joel eras of the show but whatever.) Franks – “It’s called Starwars!” seriously made me laugh my ass off.
The Episode itself looks great with the exception of the quick glitch at 25:08 which is a damn shame because otherwise this would have been a perfect release from the heavily criticized Rhino. If you’re on the fence about picking this one up don’t let the one second goof discourage you, this is the best release extras wise they have ever put out and it’s a good episode also!

Mine also came in the mail today, but I haven't thrown it in yet. I just wanted to say that I had a small geek-attack over how perfectly it fits into the original V.10 packaging. 5-episode volume, baby! Wooooo! Thanks again, Rhino!

Mine came today, glitch at 25:08... There's also a small audio glitch near the end of the Love Theme (01:16). But hey, I can live with it. See how happy I am?

I ordered two copies. One for me and one for a buddy. They came today. Yes, there's a glitch at 25:08. Also, did anyone notice at the end of the MST theme song, there's a slowdown in the music, like the original tape was dragging?

Yep, noticed that too.

I didn't notice the slow-down, but that's only because I always skip the theme song.

I got my copy yesterday... it was well worth the wait! The new host segment had me in giddy fan-boy heaven! I want more!
I thought it was funny (But still odd) that they don't even mention what is easily the greatest MST3k extra in history on the packaging!

I like how Rhino tried to make up for the late release on this disc with a crappy Rhino.com sticker.
Gee, where should I stick this?

Mine came damaged - whole lotta skipping at the end, I couldn't finish watching it.

Maybe they just didn't bother because they knew that disc was only ever going to be bought by us rabid fans who knew about the extra anyway. Is it listed on the back of 10.2?

I got an e-mail back from Rhino about my damaged DVD. They said it is not available for replacement! I'm slightly steamed right now.

Have you tried it in another player? My dvd player is crap, and it's way more sensitive to problems with discs, but I can often play them fine on my dad's player when they don't work on mine.

Is the host segment exclusive to this single disc?

I think it's on the 10.2 version as well.
