One word. Whoa! The first half of this flick made Manos exciting and riveting. The last half seemed like it was directed by an escaped psychotic schizophrenic in an abandoned Carnival lot. I guarantee that Tom and Crow would have been screaming for mercy about 15 minutes into the film. I loved it!

I'd say, early 60's but go to the IMDB for the actual date.
Classic low budget thriller, and Mikes going to do the audio comentary on it! That's next in line after "Reefer Madness". Yippeee!

You know, I got this movie just the other day because I wanted something horrible to riff on.
Man, it needed a good riffing. That CONSTANT PIPE ORGAN MUSIC got on my nerves much faster than any other sound track I've ever heard. And the sound dubbing! OH, THE SOUND DUBBING!
And then I learn that if I'd just waited a few months, I could've had it with Mike's commentary.
What a waste of money....

I dunno, for a movie with no budget it wasn't that bad. It had a some erie moments.
Y'all know this was directed by Herk Hervy, who directed a ton of shorts. One MSTed one for sure I know he did was the Speech one in "Earth vs the Spider", and he might have done the one in Red Zone Cuba (He also acted in a few of the shorts, he's in "Platform, Posture and Appearance".)

Is the Reefer Madness with Mike's comentery out yet? No, it's scheduled to be released on April 20th. Well, that's what the website said anyways. Servo

Unless they move it, Reefer set for April 20th. And I've got it on the calendar so we can look at it and drool.
Edit: D-OH! Ya beat me to it.

I suppose that if I'm willing to look past the fact that the CONSTANT ORGAN MUSIC could've been improved even with the meager budget, I guess it's not *too* unpleasant.... However, roughly a fifth of the episodes of the Twilight Zone dealt with the same things that this movie did. I wasn't ever surprised by the "ironic" twists that came. Although they used "jack in the box" scares pretty well, I will admit that. I still maintain it was a bad movie, though.

the scene that creeped me out was "The dancing zombies in the run down carnival dance hall complete with streamers hanging from the ceiling." The film was running at higgh speed also. The last 30 minutes of this movie is fantastic.
