Listening to The Band today while computering. They were a really big act in the 70's but it seems like nowadays no one under 40 remembers then save for a few big hits that play on "classic rock" radio. I'm listening to a CDR I made of my favorite Band songs and damn those guys were good. Any fans? Anyone remember The Band?

I'm under 40 and I listen to The Band. "The Weight" is a true classic, as is their self-titled album.

Yes, under 40, and I listen to The Band. Some fellow board members didn't "get it" when I put it through on YIM one night...

God, I really don't like the Band. It's just, I don't know, I've never liked them. I can see how people would though.

I do like "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down" or whatever. Servo

Check out the Martin Scorsese directed film of their farewell concert called The Last Waltz. Although it "cheats" a couple of times by dropping in performance after the concert, it's still a great concert film.
