I admit it. I'm a Grammar Nazi.
But I also have an English degree, so maybe that gives me the right.
Vote away.

Common misspellings bug me the most, followed by almost everything on the list. Shorthand doesn't bother me, but anal people do because I'm one of them. Regarding errors, I am least forgiving of myself and almost envious of those who don't care, since they didn't just waste 10 minutes of their lives editing a post that hardly anyone will read anyway.

The term Kewl, is the worst, but shorthand is a very close second. Misspellings are ok.

I hate that text message/ netspeak mess. There is a gamer forum I visit and alot of people use that. I ignore any messages wrote like that.
Sadly I am guilty of most of the other choices.

I HATE common mispellings, though punctuation misuse is irritating, too. Our mascot was the Husky in high school, and I don't know how many official planners, programs, and uniforms had "WE ARE THE HUSKY'S" or "HUSKIE SOFTBALL" written on them. Also, I once bought a picture frame that said "Best Friend's" on it. Grr.
Textspeak doesn't bother me so much, mostly because it's a lot easier to send a text message quickly if you abbreviate, but damn, if you're on the computer, lay off the "u" for you (you save TWO LETTERS!) and the "n e 1 want to chat" in the chatrooms. Would I be in a chatroom if I didn't?

Didn't we have a thread like this WAAAAAAAAAAAAY back in the primordial ooze of the board? Yep. But it wasn't a poll. I think the title might have been the same, though.

I admit it. I'm a Grammar Nazi. You could be worse, I suppose. It's the common ones for me. I can deal with a certain degree of the other stuff, and even some common ones. There are a few that kill me though, to/too, lose/loose, you get the idea. Great poll though.

Ro-matt is very much aware of my grammatic fussiness. (BTW, "OK" is capitalised. ;D )

Not that I'm not slightly bothered by some of the things listed above. I am. But more than that I'm bothered by people who are anal about grammar and spelling for one simple reason. What if I screw up? Then these people will hate me, and I'm not prepared to be hated for my lack of proper punctuation at this point in my life. Maybe when I'm older and more secure, but not right now. So that's my vote. Anal people bother me.

I'm annoyed most when I make one of those mistakes, although I am pleased to note I NEVER use chat shorthand.
