I have just finished watching Death Race 2000. All I have to say is:
Roger Coreman must be beaten to a bloody pulp with a pointed stick.
What the heck is this movie? Drama? Action? SciFi? Comedy?
Hello? Mr. Director? Can we focus on something, please?!

I have never saw that movie, but I am sure it is a ulimate want at my next riffing party, along with Waterworld and the lastest Children of the corn. When was this distaster made?

Is that the one from the 70's with David Carradine?

Yeah. Only in this movie could Carradine blow up Silvester Stallone.
And there's a sequel! Deathsport! Oh boy ... I'm gonna watch that tomorrow. My brain hurts right now.
There's one part that really clusterf*****s with my brain: the part where Frankenstein says "I'm a government project, to be the best racer. There is a new one every year."
And nothing about this is ever mentioned again! It's the first and last time anyone mentions something about some government project, otherwise, Frankenstein is "Mr. Presidents" best friend. It's like they just said "Ah, screw it! What's next on the agenda?"

SYLVESTER STALLONE?? He is famous. That movie seems cheaply made just by the title, not a huge million dollar bomb like Gigli. I ask you, did he make that film BEFORE he became famous? And who is this David Carradine fellow? Has he any relation to the John Carra-something in The Unearthly?

David Carradine is the son of veteran actor John Carradine who may hold the record of appearing in more movies that anyone. David Carradine is best know for the 70's TV series Kung Fu. I haven't seen Death Race 2000 for so long I didn't remember Stallone was in it. It was a cheap movie about a cross country race in the future (2000) where the cars got points for running over people.

I think it was actually directed by Paul Bartel, Corman was the producer.
It's a camp classic, along the lines of Killer Tomatoes in that it is suppose to be a farce and not to be taken seriously. It's a fun little slice of cheese when viewed in that light.
Did you notice who "Nero the Heroes" navigator was? That's Michele from "Girl in Gold Boots"!

I think it was actually directed by Bob Baliban (? I may have that name wrong), Corman was the producer. Yeah, It's been a while. But I seem to remember she spent a lot of time btching at Nero a lot. And I think they were the ones who attempted to run over a baby, which wasn't a real baby but a bomb.
I've thought about renting this again just to see how it looks after all these years.

Where a smart, dystopic viewing of the world and a uber director is replaced by unecessary "futuristic" action and a not so good one? Eww.

I already viddied the book back in October, before I saw the movie. Though I was confused at some parts, it was real horrowshow. The movie was very good, too. I like Stanley Kubrick. AND DON'T YOU DARE CALL ME A MALANKY PZICHTA, YOU VECK, OR ELSE I'LL MESS WITH YOUR GULLIVER!! Thank You.
