Yeah, for the full experience you really don't want to miss any of them. Interestingly enough, one friend I dragged through a couple MCU experiences did not care for Iron Man that much, but really enjoyed Doctor Strange. Go figure.

True, it's probably best to go case by case, as one of the smartest things Marvel did was make each film a sub-genre. Those who love sci-fi might be best starting with Guardians, you you lean toward fantasy lead off with Doctor Strange, old school adventure fans may find The First Avenger worth a few kicks, if you love a good paranoia thriller then I'd suggest Winter Soldier, if you like things simple and silly fun then maybe Spider-Man or Ant-Man...and so on.
Btw, Kevin Smith just saw Captain Marvel. A certain reference to a certain 1995 film in that movie really hit home for him.

I'll give him this, he's got a sense of humor I don't care how bad Fantastic Four is, he's forgiven because of that Tweet. Mr. Sunday has his Cap Marvel Easter egg video up. Spoilers of course. He also has a three minute video analyzing a plot point and how it ties into Phase One. I'll put that one in a spoiler tag.

Heads up, a week from today the merger between Disney and Fox will be completed and Fantastic Four and the X-Men will officially be toys in MCU canon. One thing I've been saying for years to people who say you can't top Thanos in Avengers 5, "Then don't try and do Dr. Doom." Make it happen! Though Phase Four is already shaping up, with Black Widow and Eternals set for 2020, and Shang Chi recently hiring a director, and of course Black Panther 2, Doctor Strange 2, Captain Marvel 2, and Guardians 3 all in the works. I'd love to see them squeeze in Fantastic Four in Phase Four for that whole "Four" thingie that would tickle me at the very least. Maybe save X-Men until Phase Five to distance itself a bit from Dark Phoenix.
I spend too much time thinking about this crap.
On the downside, who knows what this means for other Fox properties. The one issue I have is that I fear Disney might hoard all of this content for their streaming service, which would rub me the wrong way. But I'm planning on cancelling my Netflix for CBS All Access soon, since most of the shows I watch on the former I can watch on the latter for much cheaper (and use the rest of that money to pay for a DC Universe account and watch Young Justice), so when Disney+ announces a price point then we can talk. As for film properties I'd like to see them continue, if they kept making Planet of the Apes movies I'd be a very happy camper.
Also, The Weekly Planet posted their podcast review of Captain Marvel this weekend. James/Mr. Sunday liked it, but didn't love it, and Mason liked it a lot.

The marketing restraint is super impressive. I love how little they're showing yet how much hype it amps up with what they do show.

And boom, that was fast. Our mate Mr. Sunday posts a very rushed trailer breakdown, because he won't be able to get to it in the immediate future. He says he might do a more thorough one at some point, but the trailer caught him offguard.
Yes I realize I post a lot of Mr. Sunday stuff (especially on this page alone), but you have your favorite youtubers and I have mine. When Lindsay Ellis does something Avengers related (not likely because she reportedly didn't like Infinity War, and doesn't care for the majority of the MCU), I'll post that. Until then, James is my go to for my nerd culture breakdowns.
Though on the note of YouTube related content, Nostalgia Critic is hosting an entire month of X-Men videos, of which he has covered the 90's series and the first two Bryan Singer films. If you haven't jumped off the Channel Awesome bandwagon post-#Changethechannel they might be worth a look. I wouldn't know, because I'm one of the people who did jump, which is why I don't link them. But no judgment if you still enjoy their content, so enjoy if you're so inclined.

I hate the idea of Disney's streaming service, especially now that they're going to control the entire 20th Century Fox catalog. It's funny, cutting the cord used to mean saving money. But it's getting out of damn control. Everybody and their mother wants to you to pay $10 a month (if you're lucky) for their content. It adds up, and I'm pretty sure I'm not messing with Disney when they start that crap. They've gotten enough of my money as it is. I haven't watched the new Avengers trailer yet. Waiting till I get home from work. And probably get a few beers in me

That's one of my my major problems with streaming in general (Oh boy, do I have others), because the basic premise is that we're paying a subscription fee to thumb through somebody else's collection rather than having one of our own. As a film collector, I like Vudu because that is our own library on display in a digital package, but the issue also comes when a licensee decides to pull their license then suddenly it's not a part of your collection anymore because they took it back. iTunes recently had a huge deal about this, and all it does is make me cling onto physical media and reject "the future" even more. But serious film collectors are the minority when most people only want just a movie for the weekend.
There are a lot of "what ifs" for me about Disney's service. I will likely get it for the Marvel shows, but like Netflix I will probably cancel if there isn't anything I'm immediately interested in. Netflix had me as a regular customer when they were pumping out a Marvel show every few months, but now I really don't have a reason to keep it until MST, Disenchantment, or Lost in Space. Will Disney+ win me over to a constant stream renewal? It all depends on what I'm offered as a customer.

I do like Netflix, and sometimes I'm surprised by what I find on there. Of course, there's the new MST3K. And there are a few classic shows on there I love having access to. So for now, I stick with it.
I get YouTube Premium for Cobra Kai (yes, it's worth it). And even without that show, you'd be surprised how quickly you get addicted to no f*cking ads on YouTube.
I get Sling TV because my cable company dropped AMC in one of their dumb-ass disputes. If they would just cancel The Walking Dead shows already I could skip that, too.
If I had to pick a model, I'd pick Vudu, as well. It's worked well for me, and if you purchase, you keep what you have. Of course, anything other than physical media means it can all be taken away on a whim by whomever. These cloud services are basically another way of saying "storing your stuff on someone else's computer."
The same thing is happening with video games. Physical media is disappearing. I'm not a fan of that.

A lot of the classic shows Netflix has that I go back to are also on CBS All Access for half the price, so Netflix has an uphill battle if they want to convince me to come back with a back catalog (sorry Netflix, Friends isn't going to cut it). And with the new version of Twilight Zone debuting with the hot talent that is Jordan Peele, then CBS wins for me. At the same time, most of Netflix's original content doesn't do a lot for me, though CBS has Star Trek: Discovery, which I've enjoyed far more than most streaming shows I've seen, and the afore mentioned Twilight Zone, which is hopefully amazing. And with the money I'm saving through that I can eventually get DC Universe (once it finally becomes an app on PlayStation) and enjoy a back catalog of DC content.
If Disney+ really wants to hold me as a subscriber for consecutive months, I hope they follow DC Universe's example and offer a huge selection of back Marvel content. I'm talking animated shows like 90's X-Men and Spider-Man, and going even further back to Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends and Fantastic Four with Herbie the Robot. I'd spend years digging through that.
YouTube's premium service never really appealed to me, not even Kobra Kai. I like the Karate Kid, but I don't really have a nostalgic attachment to it. I don't even think I've watched the sequels. I don't really think I'd get much out of a TV series.
I do get enough out of Amazon Prime for me to pay monthly though, with their reduced shipping rates in addition to the streaming service. Plus they have The Tick, which is almost everything I could have wanted from a Tick adaptation. And I keep Hulu, which just lowered their prices as Netflix raised theirs too, because their catalog of current network shows is pretty great and are usually more enjoyable to me than the shows on streaming.
As for gaming, I tried streaming a few months ago. It did not go well. Disc or die for me.

Another clever bit is this may serve as another boost to Captain Marvel. I've been weighing on if I can get to the theater to see CM before Endgame, but seeing her at the end with Thor is punching me in the face, telling me to get my ass to a seat so I'm all caught up before the big show hits.

I don't really think I'd get much out of a TV series. Yeah, understandable. The first season really only deals with the original movie, so you definitely don't need to have seen anything else, though the creators say that could change down the line. Apparently, they consider everything canon except the Jaden Smith movie. Wise. First two eps are free on regular YouTube. If you don't have the feels for it beforehand it may very well not trip your trigger, but the episodes are only about 30 minutes each. The budget sometimes shows, but it can be a lot of fun. As weird as it sounds, for the money, I'm getting a good deal out of YT Premium. But it sounds like they're going to go to an ad-based streaming style at some point and phase out the paid service. I'm down for that.

I found these while screwing around today: two pretty solid interviews Kevin Feige did with Rotten Tomatoes before Infinity War released reflecting on the previous Marvel films. He did one for Pase One and one for Phase Three, there doesn't seem to be a Phase Two one however. Too bad, because some reflections on Iron Man 3, The Dark World, Guardians, and Age of Ultron might have been interesting (he briefly touches Winter Soldier in the first video). Edit: for some reason the player isn't working for that first link, even though everything seems fine on my end. Here is the proper link if you can't get it to play: youtu.be/7aXBcMlaxX0a
