I can't vote, too vague. Do you mean the commercial radio definition of "Classic Rock" ( the overplayed, predictable, run-of-the-mill stuff) or what I personally would define as classic rock? I must know.

Yeah. And what's "new rock"? Polished mass-market rock like Switchfoot or plodding emo-rock like Coldplay?
And how old does it have to be to count as "Classic Rock"? Do The Pretenders count? Or The Police? Or is it just your standard Boston, Eagles crap songs?
And what about Scarecrow's Brain?

Too vague. I listen to some Classic Rock, as well as Classic and New (Not to be confused with Nu) Metal, so I'm not sure how to respond to this post.

I voted new for the truly non-lame non-Coldplay/Greenday stuff, i.e. Killers, Strokes, etc.

Pretty broad decision here. I like some old, like some new. Hate some old, hate some new. Liked some old but it was so overplayed I now hate it, liked some new but it was so overplayed I now hate it.

While I agree it's too vague, I'm going to say Classic. I mean...there's just so much of it that I *do* like that I *know* counts as Classic, without gray areas like the eighties, seventies or sixties. And those decades had some good music as well. So sure, Classic.

Classic Rock stations need to play the "B" sides.....too much "Classic Rock" is OVERPLAYED...there's great songs out that that didn't make millions!

Ms. Godo dresses like Tipper Gore & I dress like Frank Zappa. She asks me if that's a real poncho or a Sear's poncho. I ask her if those are real....
Uhh, never mind.
TS92, part of the trap you fell into is the same pigeonholing that the record companies like to do in order to market to us. I would assume "Classic" refers to what they called "Album" rock back in the 70's--Hendrix, Zep, Deep Purple, Sabbath, etc. IF that's what you were referring to, sign me up for that.
If "New" is stuff like Creed, Limp Bizkit, etc., then I would rather listen to Celine Dion getting an ingrown toenail removed than listen to that.
