Please, RAD, reiterate to Joel that he need not fear that his answers about future projects will be taken as binding in any way. At least not by me. *glares around warningly* Why on earth would anyone think these questions about his future projects are binding? It's a Q&A session, not a contract negotiation. Of course not. Silly. "Binding" in the sense of people over-analyzing and taking Joel's answers too seriously, and complaining in six months or a year or two when CT does or does not do something that Joel said in this interview that they might. Mainly I added that because of what Joel says in the last answer to this 20 question interview: "You know, I'm really tired of typing and thinking about how my answers are going to affect future generations and checking my spelling and all-- would you mind if we just left it at sixteen?"

That's what I thought you meant. I was concerned it might be taken as "keep the questions light, fun and non-controversial," which kind of defeats the purpose of a good interview. Now that I look back on your post, however, I think I was reading something into it that wasn't there. I remember that interview. I remember being disappointed he stopped at only 16 questions

What props from MST did you get to keep?

What factors were considered when selecting the title "Cinematic Titanic"?

Do you have a comedy bit that you think is very funny and just love, but for some reason nobody else gets it?

I would just like to say, many people would love for you to revive MST itself, but I think that Cinematic Titanic can be just as good - even superior in some ways. I love the fact that we now have 5 riffers, more physical interaction with the movie, and an innovative new silhouette design.
However, are there any plans to introduce a bit more premise into the property? The time tube at the ending was very mysterious (and anyone watching that didn't read all your news releases online would not know what it was).
What sorts of feedback have you gotten from your first effort (Oozing Skull) that you will be incorporating into future CT outings?
Are there any thoughts as to contracting with a tv network to air CT on tv at all? (This was inspired by the Slashdot interview answer that there would be networks out there that would still be good homes for MST3K *or* CT.)
Can we expect to see a subscription option for CT releases? I really liked this idea in the e-mail club poll. Hopefully it would offer a slight discount from purchasing all the releases separately?
How much of the CT formula from the first outing is set in stone, and how much is subject to change based on feedback? (ie remaining always in silhouette, jumping straight into the film without an introduction of the riffers, back-story or premise, etc?)
Overall, I really love what I see and hope that there will be much more Cinematic Titanic to come, hopefully covering many different film genres (the horror of Oozing Skull isn't really my thing).

Joel, what are your favorite qualities about the other four Titans that made you want to work with them again?

What are your thoughts on the bickering about whether Joel-era MST or Mike-era MST is better? What would you say to those fans that feel they can only enjoy episodes with one or the other host, rather than appreciate MST3K as a whole?

1. How many copies of CT have been sold so far? 2. Do the sales fall below, meet or exceed your expectations? 3. Will CT be doing any Italian post-apocalyptic movies? 4. Since CT is direct to DVD, will you ever cut or edit the movies you do?
Thank You for all the memories and good times.

Didn't they have cuts in Oozing Skull? The closing bit, with the flashbacks to previous parts of the movie, showed scenes that weren't in CT...

Cheers RAD for allowing me to ask some silly quections to the man with the sleepy eyes!
Did you get to keep any of the disco gear from Freaks And Geeks? For some reason it really suited you!
That Stephen Hawkin seems like a nice guy. Is he a nice guy? I bet he is.
I know there are rights issues with eztakes in relation to what can be offered overseas, but will any of the CT episodes be on offer readily to those outside of the USA? Oh and I got a legit copy through a surrogate in the States, just so you don't think I'm cutting about with an eyepatch and a parrot on my shoulder shouting "YAAAARRGH!" and stuff (a pirate you see!)

here's some questions for Joel...
1. What ever happened to TV Wheel...
2. When you were on Saturday Night Live, did you get to meet Joe Piscopo? What was that like?
3. Can you imagine what a different world we'd be living in had you agreed to be on "High School U.S.A"--thank you for dodging that bullet for us.
4. If you could decide who lives and who dies--who would live?
and finally...some relevant questions...
oh wait...i think everyone already asked the biggies...i'll bask in my irrelevance...

Obviously, it's good for you and the current venture, but do you and your fellow Titans find it surprising that MST fans kept the flame alive for twenty years til now when we're experiencing this major rebirth? (That's really poorly worded, but that's the gist.) Also, in a less important question, thoughts on fan riffing efforts - flattering or leave it to the pros?

A couple questions from me:
1. Joel, are you a fan of the Improv series "Whose Line is it Anyway?" If so, which version do you prefer, the UK version or US. And who were your favorite castmembers and do you know any?
2. Did you ever watch the Nickelodeon shows "The Angry Beavers" (your friend Nick Bakay voiced Norbert on that show), and "Invader Zim" (which Frank Coniff wrote for briefly)? What were your thoughts on those shows?
3. What is your general opinion about Looney Tunes not being broadcast on television in America since 2004, and do you buy any of the Looney Tunes DVD sets?

If you could be a tree, what kind of.....
No, no, no..... Let me start over...
What I MEANT to ask is:
What movies are your all time favorite really GOOD movies?
What CD is in your CD player right now?
Oh, and brag about your family a bit. Let's here about what life is like around the Hodgson house on a typical day.
