An event this big needs it's own thread. It was tonight, and I missed it. (Damn real life getting in the way of my fantasy/hobby life...) But I know not everyone missed it. Queen Shadowrama has posted some pics and reflections here. Anyone else? Or, failing that, what do you-- the viewers (stuck) at home-- think?

Joel looks very quizzical in a lot of photos taken of him, I've noticed.
Also, I want that tiny plush Servo so bad.

It's kind of a pouty, Zoolander-esque type expression. I'm still trying to process everything that's happened this weekend. I can't stop smiling. It was sooooo cool! But I have to give a huge thanks to RAD for introducing me to Joel! The powers that be were trying to kick everyone out of the room so the next panel could start, and I hadn't been able to muscle my way in to ask Joel for a picture. He started to walk away, and I kind of resigned myself to the fact that there simply wasn't enough time and since I wasn't going to the con on Saturday I'd have to wait until the Minneapolis show to meet him properly. But RAD, in all his awesomeness, stopped Joel I was able to shake his hand and get a picture. Seriously, thankyouthankyouthankyou for doing that...you have no idea how much it means to me.

A cam of the panel discussion is up on YouTube. Here is the link to part 1. Enjoy.

Great pictures, Queen Shadowrama. Did you get Kevin to autograph your plushie Servo?

Haha, sadly, that Servo plushie does not belong to me. The person holding the Servo plushie is Robyn from the board, not me, and it belongs to her. She got lots of attention because of it!
But I did have Mike, Kevin, Bill, Joel, Trace, and Frank sign my Amazing Colossal Episode Guide!

Indeed, the plush is mine, and I didn't get it signed (it's very small and kind of an awkward shape, hard for signing), but Kevin was nice enough to pose with it for a picture. I also was lucky enough to get a picture of it with Josh at Supercon. Now I just have to get Frank to lick my membership card and I win the scavenger hunt! Speaking of plushies, there was a girl with a Joel plushie. Seriously. Had a little jumpsuit and everything. XD Anyway, um, there's not much I can say that Queenie hasn't already mentioned. I had a blast, everyone was very funny and cool, and my only complaint is that it's over and I have to get back to my boring life now.

What a great report on the event! Thanks so much - it sounds like it was a pretty cool time, and I'm seething with jealousy. Not sure if this is general knowledge yet, but we can apparently look forward to an AV Club (from The Onion) interview soon: www.avclub.com/content/feature/san_diego_comic_con_day_3_july

I have to throw in my own special thank you to Queen Shadowrama for helping me get my tickets to the live show. It was great meeting and chatting with you and Robyn, if only for a little bit before the show. I can't believe I was almost late getting there. I wish I could have stayed around a little longer afterwards too. I had a blast any way, but I can't believe I didn't get a picture of you ladies to put in my Comic Con page I'm creating.
Oh, and I do have to agree with Dr. Ted Nelson.
Peace, and thanks again.
Tom

You guys are too much! ;D I have to throw in my own special thank you to Queen Shadowrama for helping me get my tickets to the live show. It was great meeting and chatting with you and Robyn, if only for a little bit before the show. It was absolutely great to meet you too Tom! I'm so glad that you could come. There's nothing more fun than sharing a laugh with other MSTies! In fact, I'm going to have to find a way to get more money, because after the Rifftrax Live show, I just knew I was going to make damn sure I saw more of them!

I've noticed that about Joel, too, especially since he's been more visible since CT came out. It would be cool to see a picture of him just flat-out laughing his head off sometime Great coverage, guys. I know I would enjoy Comic Con anyway, but this 20th anniversary event must have been mind-blowing. Thanks for the report and pics!
