What do you think the worst host segment is?
One word - Urkel!

"Don't give no matches to Mikey!"
Seriously, that one managed to be both pointless and downright disturbing.

The "Sven and Ollie" joke from The Sword and the Dragon was amusing the first time, but now it's skipped without fail.
Oh, and the "Is it 11:30 yet?" sketch is pretty weak, too. (somehow made even worse by the revelation that this was based on real-life events)

Maybe not the worst, but I'm going to throw "I'm A Bellarian/Bobo's Failed Escape" into this. It just strikes me as wasted time that really highlights the need for shorts to lampoon and the follie of forcing the show to have a "plot".

A host segment where APES evolved from MEN? Seriously -- anything Bobo related, I couldn't stand.

This depends for me, really.
I really liked "Deep Ape" because of the Planet of the Apes references. But they moved Bobo to the stooge so fast that I think it could've been neat to see him as a guy in charge for a while.
The "CLAYTON!" host segments (notably, the final one) always annoys the crap out of me. Also, I don't have it on DVD, so I usually just skip the rest of the episode after the movie's over.
Ah, one of my personal hated ones. The "I don't get you" sketch. Annoys the ever-loving crap out of me. I know most people love it, but it just drives me up the wall. Annoying, repetitive, and for some reason, Gypsy's voice really gets under my skin in that segment. Also, that song that Crow's humming bugs me too.

What do you think the worst host segment is? One word - Urkel! It's stupid, but on the plus side, it has a buttload of cameo characters.

I loathe the Trumpy Can Do Magic segment with a passion.
I know I'm the only one, so lick me.

Tom as Barbra Steisand in #610 The Violent Years--absolutely terrible! Just phoning it in as in later eps when he didn't have a riff he's just shout: An-to-NYYY!!!!! or JED!!! And don't get me started on the whole Aunty McFrank thing! I think, in general, the host segments got short shrift in Season Six. There are good ones, to be sure, but that season really seems to have a lot of dud segments.

I am appalled that so many Season 6 host segments are showing up in this thread - as an unabashed Season 6 lover, I must disagree with all of them. The host segments from that year are among the funniest the Brains ever did; even the seemingly pointless ones are hysterical exercises in surrealism.
However, my least favorites of all time come from Season 8 - and both from the same episode. "The Undead" contains both the "Servo becomes an Observer and steals spoons" segment and the "Bobo makes a brain sandwich" segment, both of which are about three minutes longer than they should be and just aren't funny enough to sustain that length. It's more painful than the movie could ever hope to be.

The "Mike's new stereo equipment" sketch...never saw what the humor of this was.

Well, this is pretty much a "Mr. A's Favorite Host Segments" thread so far. Matches for Mikey? Sven & Ollie joke? Joey the Lemur? Trumpy? All gold.
I'm gonna have to go with Nummy Muffin Coocol Butter. Especially when Frank tried to sing. *shudder*
Everybody likes to dump on Bobo, but I liked him. I think the worst host segments in the Sci-Fi era happened on the SoL.
