I was just reading a review site that said "if you haven't pre-ordered a while ago you (I, in this case) may be out of luck". That would serve me right for dragging my feet on this set...
So, am I up a creek, sans paddle? Any talk of making more sets w/ bot figurines?

I heard that the next time they make more of this set it will just be a box set. No Crow, no lobby cards, no tin. All the extras will still be on, though. I lucked out today and found a store with a set. I've seen others' posts on here, saying that when they went into a Best Buy or something that the store had only had two sets. (How stupid is that?) You may have to travel around a lot looking for more obscure stores that sell DVD's to find them. The store I went to was called FYE (for your entertainment). Don't know how widespread those are. Were you looking in stores today or online?

I ordered the set from Amazon on Monday after hearing about the pre-orders supposedly being sold out. It shipped this morning (and my order says "Limited Edition", so it should be the tin), so I think that the "sell out" announcement might be overstated a little bit to drum up sales.
I think I remember reading (maybe on this board?) that the non-tin version is coming out Nov. 11, so you should be okay if you order from a site that has it listed as in-stock right now.

If you go back to the original 'announcement' about the sell out, I believe Shout Factory said they had shipped every manufactured copy to the stores--meaning there would be no backstock, when they're gone, they're gone.
Presumably, the Amazon's of the world will still have copies for at least a short spell.

And you might hit Best Buy or whatever DVD retailer you have. If they're all shipped then they could have a few copies on the shelf.

The "sold out?" information was from a low-level web-reviewer, that I happened to click some link to. I haven't started shopping for it yet (budgetary issues) but thanks for the suggestions.

I would still get it soon Bix as there probably won't be too many of these things left I'd imagine, but you never know!

Barnes & Noble has it, I would check them out. I ordered mine last night and it should arrive by Tuesday.

If you are in the Boston/New England area Newbury Comics has them in stock at pretty much every location. As of 6pm today we still have a few in the warehouse as well. On sale for $49.99. They are going fast though.
This is the official word from Shout:

I bought mine at Hastings day one. Don't know if they're sold out yet, but if so, I was damn lucky because it was the only one they had in the case.
But, personally, unless you really had your heart set on that mini Crow bust, I wouldn't be too upset. The art on the lobby cards is featured on the mini-disc holders inside the set making them slightly redundant and the tin itself is quite disturbingly large (to fit the little Crow in). I wouldn't have been crying a river had I settled for the standard version.

The art on the lobby cards is featured on the mini-disc holders inside the set making them slightly redundant. I completely agree with that. Plus the lobby cards are not true "cards" at all. At least the way I look at it. I expected them to have a backing more like baseball cards with a solid backing and not so flimsy. But all in all I love the set.

I just got my tin set at my local Border's. The price was expensive, but i had a couple gift cards, so it all worked out fine.

Just recieved mine today! Yay! I'm in the UK, so ordered from www.dvdworldusa.com - arrived pretty quick (ordered the 26th), tho a little pricey (£36.99, and £10 shipping due to the tin). Looking forward to this! Happy to get it anyhow! C.

I'm still waiting on Amazon delivering mines, it was sent on the 22nd so I have a sneaking suspicion that either Customs has gotten a hold of it or that Amazon sent it 2nd Class because they only charged normal postage for it!
