The recent vampire thread here got me reading about zombie movies on wikipedia, which lead me to this: www.homepageofthedead.com/baps/cotld_email.htmlI'm not a big horror fan, but apparently Russo, the other non Romero half of the Night of the Living Dead team remade Dead in 1998 (actually re-edited with new footage) and then made a sequal called Children of the Living Dead in 2001 which sounds like the quintessential MST3K movie. The link above is to an apology letter written by the director, Tor Ramsey, which shows an interesting (and painfully frustrating) insight into how a piece of garbage like that gets made. It also shows how cool some people can be.

I think I want to see this movie now! Ha! And the director sounds like a good guy. Goes to show you what happens when people who don't know anything about making movies are allowed to run the show (hello Hollywood!).
I saw the Night re-edit they done. It was a joke! The Romero scripted re-make from 90 was much better.

Children of the Living Dead was horrific, one of the worst movies I've ever seen
