yes - it's hilarious. it's also really cool, because mike, kevin and bill are animated and you watch them watch the short, sort of mst style. it's one of my favorites.

TCM should do a Coleman Francis trilogy one night. If I see Red Zone Cuba on TCM..., wow, they might as well change the name of the network to something else.

I'm dying in a rush. That's what I want my last words to be. So "Shake Hands with Danger" was Rifftrax'd? Did you know, the writer and director of this short, also worked together to create the classic Carnival of Souls?

TCM will show blood waters of doctor z, or zaat, this sunday at two a.m.. bizarre, but if i am not mistaken, they have shown this one before. i don't know if i could sit through it without mike and the bots.

I recorded it, and three weeks later, after several attempts, I still haven't made it to the end! The movie does make marginally more sense so far without all the cuts necessary to make it fit the MST3K format and run time, though.

Why would a person want to watch a MSTied film proper? The 'bots make the films worth watching. I don't even think I'd want to watch a MSTied film in its originally intended way, because the MST treatment is what makes the film so great. On a side note, do you think TCM is bringing reruns of MST3K into the rotation?

Right, because they'd have to fork over some serious dollars in order to acquire rights to the series as a whole, as well as the films shown on some of the episodes.

For a diehard Mystery Science Theater 3000 fan, you watch a MSTied movie, but you don't expect to be launched DIRECTLY into the feature. You expect to see 12 minutes of host segment bits and then go into the film. Without the MST treatment, you expect to see a host segment 25 minutes in, and you're lost because you don't get one.

On a side note, do you think TCM is bringing reruns of MST3K into the rotation? I can't speak for everyone here (and I know that I don't), but I enjoy many MSTied films on their own. We're not talking about grade-A cinema, but a lot of these films aren't the horrible movies they're made out to be. I've enjoyed most of the MST films I've seen on their own and I've also enjoyed their respective "experiments" (I've seen every episode). To me, the MST commentary just comically enhances the film. However, I'll never attempt to watch movies like Red Zone Cuba or Monster A-Go Go without the MST treatment. That should go without saying.
