Every once in a while, I put on one of my least favorite episodes just to give it another chance. And occasionally, I do find some new joke that I missed the first time. I remember putting on "Kitten With a Whip" not too long ago and finding more laughs than I got in previous viewings.
I still refuse to watch "The Sidehackers" again, though. Even when I do one of those "every episode in order" things, I drape a blanket over my TV so I can hear it but I can't see it. I hate it that much.

I only saw The Starfighters one time and I hated it. But, at some point in the future, I'll probably give it another try because so many people here like it so much.

Oh, it's so refreshing to know there's other MSTies out there who also don't like Sidehackers!

I only play episodes I don't like inside a long playlist when I just want MST3K in the background while I'm doing something else. I may stumble across a riff or host segment I like that way, but its not often.

I have yet to see every single episode, so it's not as if I'm forced to watch an episode that I truly dislike, because I have about 50 left to see for the very first time. Out of the ones I have seen, I've only ever not been able to get through one experiment, and that's The Starfighters. I watched the suggestive re-fueling scene, and then couldn't do the rest. I assume that I'll try and rewatch it some time in the future.

Hamlet!!!! It taunts me, it tasks me, it laughs at me, it sneers and snickers at me. It is the ONLY episode I have yet to see completely. I just can't make it through. Granted, I haven't taken a run at it in over 2 years. Maybe I'll dare myself. You an me, both! I gave it another chance about a month ago. About 15 mins in, off it went. I'm just not sure that it will ever 'click' with me on any level. Funny, though, seeing others list episodes I either don't mind, or downright love, as being unwatchable. Taste..? I like taste!

I've only seen the Hamlet episode once, and that was actually while I was studying the play in school, so it held my attention a bit more than it probably would have at any other time. It was still a doozy, and most likely an episode that I won't go back to for awhile, if ever. :\

I tried re-watching Girl in Gold Boots again the other week.
Still don't care for it.

a few I don't watch at all: Sidehackers (though the host segment song is worth a listen), City Limits (I just can't understand the dialog), and Alien from LA (I alas CAN understand the dialog). There are others I like less (Space Travelers is one) that I might watch every couple years or so from now on but are not in my regular rotation.

I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but I've never really been a fan of the Gamera episodes. If I must watch a Gamera ep., it's "Gamera vs. Guiron" (which is actually a GREAT episode)...but the other installments just don't do it for me. I've probably seen the others twice, at best, over the past decade.
But "Stranded in Space" is my least favorite Joel-era ep. My least favorite Mike episode is tough to single out. I don't really like the first 5 eps. of the Sci-Fi era for some reason, but I must concur that "Hamlet" is the hardest to sit through.

Sidehackers (though the host segment song is worth a listen) You know, I can't even stand that. It's probably the laziest song the Brains ever did - it's just the same damn song that's in the movie, except with "pads the film" thrown into the chorus. Combine Joel's insanely fake keyboard playing and too-soft singing, Servo's overly deep and inflictive voice, Crow's complete inability to carry a tune, and Gypsy's random hop-ons in that aggravating dopey voice Jim was using at the time, and it's just a chore and a half to sit through. At least "Sidehackin' is the Thing to Do" is a little better - the writing is a lot smarter, for one thing.

I'm not a 'hackers fan, but "Only Love Pads the Film" makes me smile because it's so cheesy (and I like when they simply mirror movie moments, like "Happy With Your Work" skit for I Accuse My Parents).
It made me laugh big when they used it again in season 7 (Melting Man I think? Or was it another - some later film with a guy walking in the field) In fact I sometimes catch myself singing it... he, he - so yeah, I like the song (actually both songs) for that ep.

I don't have much love for Sidehackers either. The host segments are classics in my book, but the riffing is so-so and the movie is such an unappealing wreck that it actually takes away from the enjoyment.
I can watch pretty much every episode, even if it's a favorite or not, but one episode I can't stand is "The Castle of Fu Manchu". The movie is an insufferable pile of crap, and neither the riffing or the host segments can't redeem even a little bit of it.
Oh, and MJ, I agree with you on "Hercules and the Moon Men". I keep wondering what could have made them drop the ball and take the easy way out on such a goofy movie. Could this have been another "Hellcats" behind-the-scenes thing?
